So, it’s not available in the US but apparently the new special/“series finale” just dropped without any prior warning in some places.

I cannot describe how disappointed I am. Not saying there’s a correlation but god is that one hell of a coincidence.
Again: the book was DONE. It was FULLY WRITTEN and never published WITHOUT THE AUTHOR EVEN KNOWING!
Movies or other media that are “based on a true story” but distort that story so horrifically that it’s basically just historical fiction. Unfortunately this often happens with real tragic stories that have no business being “adapted” into feel-good family movies. In essence the creators of the film really could’ve just swapped all the names for fake ones and been fine, not having to deal with the associations to real, awful events.
The Greatest Showman (P.T. Barnum) - Unlike what The Greatest Showman would have you believe: P.T. Barnum was an awful person in real life who exploited and abused people of minority groups for his shows. He didn’t make some fuzzy found family- he did human trafficking.
Pocahontas and Pocahontas 2 (Pocahontas/Matoaka, John Smith, and John Ralfe) - Onto a just as, if not more egregious example of this: Disney turning the story of a kidnapped and abused native girl into a happy love story for the whole family! Seriously, the movie is mostly based on the historical John Smith’s telling of events who, among other things, claimed Matoaka was an adult and also super into him (along with all the other women of her tribe), when, in reality she was only a child when he and the other colonizers arrived on the continent. Not to mention her later marriage of John Ralfe was FAR from the consensual relationship between two adults that Disney portrayed it as. Matoaka was kidnapped and held for ransom in 1613 (when she was only a teenager), where she was forced to convert to Christianity and change her name to Rebecca. Just a year later, was married off to John Ralfe (who was in his 30s), paraded around England to promote the colonization of the North American continent, and forced to have his children. Why is Disney still milking this one again??
So, I made a post about what NOT to do, but, I believe it’s equally, if not more important, to post about what you SHOULD do to make yourself known.
First and most obviously is to post about this. Let your frustrations and your desire for this show to continue be heard! Tag Lego’s offical accounts (and only Lego’s offical accounts, please do not harass the cast and crew of the show, they don’t control any of this), but also be polite! The social media intern doesn’t need hateful messages coming their way, so express your feelings in a productive and articulate manner!
Inquire about Dreamzzz through official channels! Like I’ve previously said, customer service reps and regular store employees do not have any information so please don’t go to them expecting it, but make it known there IS demand for this theme! Let the appropriate parties know people want Dreamzzz to stay for its full run! (Just maybe at a lower price point because the final wave having nothing under $50 was the weird nonsense-)
Watch the heck out of the show on official channels and streamers! Again, this goes back to the fact that the demand I know exists for this theme needs fo be expressed in a way that makes it clear to those who control its future! This also applies to the shorts and other additional content on LEGO’s YouTube channel! Additionally: buy the sets if you’re able to!
This is probably the most important one because, unlike themes this has happened to in the past, we’ve got one last ace up our sleeve: the upcoming special. Dreamzzz has one last confirmed episode coming up and, as said in point #3: WE GOTTA WATCH THE HECK OUT OF IT! Tell your friends to watch it! Tell your mom! Tell your dog! Whoever! Watch that special!
So, if you so choose: go forth, my fellow Dream Chasers! And let’s put up a good (but still polite!) fight for this theme!
So I think it’s safe to say that, based on Claudius, memories from the time the headset was on are fuzzy, but does José remember his kids being Dream Chasers? Does he know about the Dream World now? Is he an aware dreamer after his experience with Happy App?
S3’s finale was super unclear about it, so let’s keep fighting for a S4!

So… the famous cold opening to the very crust episode of the show. The one that’s the source of most of the big mysteries and questions left currently unanswered (and that we should keep fighting to get answered! To quote Brennan Lee Mulligan: GET IN THE COMMENTS!)
What the hell is happening here?
Who is this Dream Chaser?
Are they even a Dream Chaser working for the Night Bureau or are they operating independently? Is there another organization we don’t know about?
Why did they have Lunia’s hourglass?
Why could they use Lunia’s hourglass?
Did the blast turn Mateo, Izzie, and Cooper into aware dreamers? If so, was Logan already aware before episode 1 like Zoey? Because he wasn’t present in this scene either.
Why did the Masked Hero show up in Mateo and Izzie’s bedroom? Given the fact neither remark upon a missing person in the morning, there clearly wasn’t a third individual in their room that night (or at least not one that was supposed to be there).
Why did the hourglass’s blast turn the three into aware dreamers if that is indeed the case? Also what’s re the requirements to become an aware dreamer in the first place??
Are they even human? Because they showed up in the Waking World in the same clothes as in the Dream World.
So. Many. Freaking. Questions.
And zero answers.
Keep fighting for our show back, guys cuz I don’t even have anything else to add for this one. This is such a big question mark still.
So, as we all know, Z-Blob has been an anomaly among dream creatures since the show started, primarily due to him being able to cross between worlds at will. Now, the obvious explanation is probably “Mateo has Dreamkeeper potential”- but how does that work exactly? Plus, Lunia, the most powerful Dreamkeeper ever known, couldn’t create a dream creature with Z-Blob’s capabilities (that was kind of the whole plot of S1). So what gives? Why is Z-Blob weird like that? What’s so special about Mateo that he was able to create a being so powerful and unique on ACCIDENT (yeah, let’s not forget Mateo didn’t intentionally create Z-Blob).
Did it have something to do with the blast from Lunia’s Hourglass that presumedly made Izzie, Mateo, and Cooper aware dreamers?
WHY IS Z-BLOB??
I’ll probably make this a bit of a series of posts to do my part of keep discussion of the series alive and encourage further speaking out against its cancellation.
To start: what exactly is Logan’s deal and what makes him so special? As far as we’re aware he invented Beastcrafting, and he’s the only Dream Chaser able to significantly alter their physical form and shapeshift. His power are also heavily tied to his emotions, each of his main three forms (which was confirmed by S3) being tied to/triggered by one:
Lolo - Anger
Lolo (tall) - Happiness
Pandamonium - Sadness
Of course there’s the matter of his other beastcrafting. We know it’s possible for two dreamcrafters to combine their sand into a joint creation, but Logan seems to be the only one able to alter someone else’s already existing dreamcraft. Not to mention him creating the Beastly Speaker in S2, which was so powerful it even trapped the Never Witch herself in its effects.
Originally my theory was that he was actually Lunia’s son, but that obviously got thrown out the window after S3 happened, so what do you all think? Is Logan just “built different”, as they say, or something else? Is he human at all? Part Dream creature? Place your bets now!
So I’ve made posts like this before, but I feel it’s worth saying again in light of all the recent announcements regarding the series: Dreamzzz having the plug pulled is a bad thing not just for the fans of the theme, but Lego as a whole.
You see, as I’m sure everyone is aware: licensed sets are absolutely dominating the shelves right now and, as I’m sure you also know, a lot of people are getting jaded with it. Not just because part of Lego’s whole thesis is unbridled creativity and making something new that’s all your own, but also because licensed sets are, for obvious reasons, more expensive than non-licensed sets of similar sizes/piece counts.
Not to mention, I feel like we could be getting a bit too close for comfort to history repeating itself, especially combining the above with the introduction of the Smart Brick. Little Lego history lesson for those not in the know: back in the 80s(ish) Lego hired a bunch of new graduates from the top design schools in Denmark, hoping their contributions would revitalize the company-
Spoilers: they did not.
Instead, we got themes like Galidor and Belville among others, which were all leaning too far away from what made Lego… Lego. They were rapidly losing their brand identity in these attempts to capture other markets and that directly led into the now infamous near-bankruptcy of Lego in the 90s and 2000s.
Now, obviously Lego is a MUCH larger and more well established company in the modern day, it would take MUCH more to start to put a dent into their profits. However, I do still believe similar patterns are repeating, and the lack of original IPs are a symptom of those patterns.
Of course we have to also address what appears to be the concerning lack of faith in a pro original IP that isn’t Ninjago. We saw this time and time and time again with Dreamzzz, whether it was poor advertising for new content, placing Dreamzzz’s new season releases WAY too close to Ninjago’s for it to have any chance of being relevant for more than a week, or even the fact that, despite the $10 20-in-1s selling like total hotcakes and being a complete hit, the theme basically had all of the affordable set options taken away and the final wave had the lowest price be $50.
This is why I keep saying to be noisy. Why I’m telling everyone to be loud about this. It’s bigger than just a theme we all hold close to our hearts, it’s about putting the originality and creativity back at the forefront of Lego.
Kinda ironic the show preaching morals of not limiting your creativity, letting your imagination run wild, and the importance of uncensored art got canceled at a time like this, huh?
I’m not gonna stop clowning on Tommy A. for that quote for a WHILE because the show being unceremoniously cancelled on a cliffhanger and then saying “imo, everything is neatly wrapped up” is the FUNNIEST thing.
Also just specifying I know Tommy A. had nothing to do with what happened, I just think his choice of words here is both strange and hilarious.
Made a similar post on Tumblr but I think it bears repeating on other platforms, especially since I’m the first person to jump in when it comes to telling others to make their voices heard and speak out about these things. (Seriously your voices are important and CAN make an impact)
Anyway, without further ado… Some time back, when the Monkie Kid fandom was at the peak of panic about their theme, I saw some people (not all, most were being normal but you always have that tiny portion) online acting silly about it and I want to remind the Dreamzzz side of things about some general guidelines to follow:

So, as we have all found out this morning: Dreamzzz is ending with the crossover special, and apparently the shorts from earlier this year were our “season 4”. Obviously, a lot of people are frustrated by this, and rightly so. However, even in the unfortunately likely event Dreamzzz can’t be saved (as much as I sincerely hope otherwise because this theme means a lot to me), we NEED to make noise about how much nonsense this is, if not for Dreamzzz, then for the future of LEGO’s original themes as a whole.
It’s getting increasingly obvious that there’s very little faith in any original theme that isn’t Ninjago, and Dreamzzz is yet another example of such, especially with the bizzare choices made during its run. Such as constantly putting Dreamzzz’s new season releases right next to Ninjago’s, or making the entire last wave of the theme a bunch of expensive sets AFTER the $10 ones were proven to sell like hotcakes, or even cancelling the second Dreamzzz book AFTER IT WAS ALREADY FINISHED!
New, original themes are incredibly important to Lego as a whole, especially when licensed IPs are dominating the shelves. But, unfortunately, if they’re not Ninjago, they’re rarely afforded proper endings to their stories.
We need to get noisy about this. It needs to be known this isn’t right.

So, that out of the way- please behave yourselves in the comments because I KNOW how this fandom gets when Misako is involved- the panel. There was a bit where the VAs did a scene of the ninja opening mail and it’s generally funny until Lloyd’s turn, where we get a letter from Misako inviting Lloyd to tea and mentioning she’s extended a few invites but Lloyd hasn’t yet shown up. Arin says Lloyd should talk to his mom more, Sora interjects that he might have a good reason for not, Lloyd corrects her and mentions that his mom is great and he really should call more, the. Kai jumps in with something to the effect of:
“And Lloyd’s totally over that thing where she left him at an evil boarding school to go on her expeditions!”
To which Sora responds with a “Told ya.” to Arin.
I’m going to emphasize this again: REGARDLESS OF YOUR OPINION ABOUT MISAKO OR HER CHOICES, this is bad writing and going against the way Lloyd’s relationship with his mom has been portrayed for the past fourteen years since Misako’s original introduction into the show. Aside from the fact Kai’s line, while not necessarily an inaccurate telling of events, greatly misrepresents the situation by omission of VERY CRUCIAL details, the overall framing is like Lloyd has this strained relationship with his mother when he just… factually does not. There was a time to address any lingering resentment Lloyd might’ve had and that was over a decade ago. Dredging it up now just feels like drama for drama’s sake. It’d be like if they suddenly brought up Kai’s old jealousy of Lloyd being the Green Ninja as if it were still a present issue. It was revolved so long ago, it makes no sense to bring up now. This is just a weird writing choice, especially for something that is being considered canonical.
So kind of a weird story but my file got corrupted and I managed to recover it by restoring a previous version, but I guess it corrupted again or something?? I don’t know. It said “not found” and I followed the instructions to restore it but for SOME REASON instead of resorting it to where it was it reverted my current save to a previous version?? But the thumbnail on the older file is still the finished product so what is happening and how can I get my work back?
Also I have tried restoring a backup but it’s not showing the version I need and I have no clue why.
If you need anything clarified please say so I know this might be a mess to read.
Attached a picture of the actual character to illustrate my point better. I think it might be AI because of the weird double-bottom mask situation, the way the scales are inconsistent and just… without any intentionality behind the placement I guess? I’m not fully sure how to articulate myself but the big thing that’s bugging me is how off model it is from the characters when I tell you Lego is strict about character consistency within portrayals I mean they are STRICT about it. Like it looks vaguely correct but when you get into any details just about every other thing is wrong. I’m semi-certain it’s AI but I really need a second opinion here.
Personally I actually really loved the sequence inside of abstracted Jax, especially the buildup to it where there’s the bait and switch with Pomni looking like she’s going to shoot Jax, but instead goes for the lights!
For the demographic this show targets, the Dream Chasers have certainly committed plenty of crimes- so what’s your favorite? Izzie’s pyramid scheme is definitely mine, but Oz and Mrs. Castillo violating the Geneva Convention by keeping Claudius awake comes in a VERY close second.
