is this book worth it to learn CSP?
Anyone got this book? how is your experience with it? Are the info contained in this book easily obtainable online? thanks!

Alguien me.puede ayudar con eso?
Once I select an area with the lasso tool the closes option that I get is to cut and paste in a new layer, I just want to erase the selection but I can't find a straightforward way.
I have ver.1 and I just realized you can upgrade. I just want to know if upgrading is really worth it or if there are any strings attached. If I remember correctly, we weren't allowed early on
I'm aware this is outdated and the answer is probably outdated. I just wan confirmation from people who are more up to date and use it regularly.
I primarily use PRO 5.0 for illustration and I used to use EX 1.0 a lot for animation. Does anyone know how I would switch between the two versions with ease without worrying about losing brushes, files bugging out, layout, and etc?
I'm currently using PRO 5.0 right now.
Having another PC to use the other license is a no go as I am poor. 🙇♂️
I apologize if this is an endlessly asked question. I just wanted to see if there were any others in the same situation as me and found a way.
(Edit 2: Solved! You guys pointed out my license was for an older version, I installed 1.13.2 on my laptop and now it shows the pop-up asking me to switch licenses to my laptop! Thank you guys so much!!)
(Edit to add: My specific version of the program is Clip Studio Version 3.0.4 with Clip Studio Paint Pro. Our home computer runs Windows 11, my laptop either runs 10 or 11 but I'm leaning towards 11, it was a hand-me-down from a friend. I use a Huion Kamvas 13 Gen 3 drawing pad. There aren't any additional "accessories" that I can think of.)
I'm moving out soon and will be using a personal laptop instead of the home computer that I've been using CSP on up until now. Is there any way I can use CSP on that laptop without paying again?
I've seen other posts in different places about this topic, but they either don't match my situation (such as people getting a pop-up asking to switch licenses from one PC to another) or contradict one-another (like people saying you can only use multiple devices with the monthly/yearly plan, which seems to contradict the FAQ if I'm reading it right). For me, I was able to download Clip Studio onto my laptop, see my projects in the cloud, and download them from there, but when I clicked "Draw", it asked me to pay to do so. I am fairly certain I was completely closed out of the program on the home PC. So far I haven't found any advice for what to do in that case. (I hope I'm not missing anything obvious here lol)
I believe I have the perpetual license. I have a screenshot of what I see when I click "manage plans" on my clip studio profile. I will give more info if needed.
I just installed it so i might just be an idiot for not finding it, but when i searched it up it said i was supposed to find a correction layer or something but i can't find it in either edit or layer.
Wanting to try those programs, but I really really love the brush packs I have for procreate, wondering if there’s any possible way to export them to krita or clip studio paint??
I am looking to purchase a portable laptop pc to use CSP on. I have a stationary PC with a Cintiq but I'm seeking a portable PC laptop I can use CSP on with a good, responsive pen tool using Windows.
I would prefer it be solid, dependable, then economical. What would you suggest.
Where would I find the Lasso Fill Tool, I seen on older tutorials it was located in Direct Draw but I cannot for the life of me find it? Was it removed and if so how can I replicate it?
Any logical reason why frame 6 (orange) displays for one more frame into frame 7 (yellow) even tho it's clearly already changed on the timeline?
Obviously this topic has been talked to death, but I'm further clarifying something so that the answers are more tailored -
I'm very interested in extreme specifics (instead of broad reasons like " ui /brushes") for your specific art needs in this context
Or if you used to use procreate and now use them interchangeably, what specific things do you use each for?
How to make it so when there is no pressure on the pen it doesn't draw. I have this problem where when I draw and yank my pen back and for some reason still registers the pen and still draw the line despite me not touching the scream with the pen.
I tried charging brush pressure, sensitivity, and taper but it doesn't fix the problem, is there a setting I'm missing?
I downloaded the latest update (Version 5.1.2) but I am unable to actually use the new version of the program. I tried typing in my older activation code I got back in March, but I then get this message
So I click on 'here', I start up clip studio but I get no prompt that says this
So, I'm stumped as to why it's not doing what it's supposed to do. It's not done this before when I've updated it. I'm not being an idiot here. What do I do about this?
idk if I should post this here but I want to ask if this happens to anyone else.
I use clip studio paint on my tablet and because my family won buy me the subscription I can’t save my drawing so I leave all my canvas opened. But in recent months my clip studio will randomly crash and all my works will he gone or I just open it and nothings there. I need to know if this happens to other people and if anyone has found a way to somehow get back the canvases. I lost so much hours of work because of this
So, I've been getting this error in quite a few of my source files. I have 64GB RAM. Restarting doesn't work. Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm losing a lot of process D:::::
I'm not sure what to call it but I tried to make a Vector layer to copy and paste for each narration box, but I also want it to be size-adjustable. Is there any way to do that?
(I use CSP EX version 2.0.6)
First image is with shading (ignore the weird blue artifacts. This is a proof-of-concept animation so I didn't bother cleaning up some of the experimental coloring that broke through the selection due to being vector lines). I have the color shift below the shading layer (that also has the cerulean you see). Second image is without shading.
I'm trying to animate a fight scene in CSP (EX ver 5) and I'm wondering if there's a more efficient way to animate a shifting color (example on third image). My fight scene takes place in an alien factory processing a material that changes colors when melted down and I want it to provide a stylized yet diegetic lighting. So for example, when Curt here has his moment, the screen will pause on his blue color. When the green guy does a thing, it's green. Villain gets red. Etc. Scrolling through a color wheel with a fill bucket isn't the worst thing in the world, but I want to get it smoother beyond just manually adding more frames if possible. Or at least have some advice on doing it cleaner beyond just eyeballing it.
Last panel is part of the action scene so far to give a sense of the motion the scene will have.
I have a friend who is designing a 3d background in blender. So the idea is to put the 2d fight into an animated 3d background which means whatever technique we use needs to translate well into blender shaders because of course I had to think up this really cool but super difficult animation thing I want to implement in my opening fight scene. My ambition is like diarrhea. When I'm crying and think there can't possibly be more, my body somehow manifests it and I can't stop until it's all out.
In Krita they have this feature of automatically saving the colors you've been using on this list, and is a very useful tool. I would like to know if Clip Studio has something like this too.
