I will keep the niche, but I will change the format.
Guys, I've been grinding my TikTok account for 4 months. I currently have 7,270 followers and I haven't monetized it yet. My content consists of Reddit stories with ASMR videos in the background — you know the type... an AI-generated story with background images and a voiceover, pretty easy to produce. However, I recently found out that it's very possible I won't be able to monetize the content because it's considered low-quality or unoriginal. Since I haven't crossed the monetization threshold yet, I've decided to change the format.
Starting this week, I will read and react to the stories on camera. Reading each story will take me about 15 minutes, and I'll upload it to YouTube in long format. From there, I plan to pull 3-minute clips to post on TikTok, Shorts, and Facebook Reels. On TikTok I already have a head start, but on the other platforms I'll be starting completely from scratch, so I don't think I'll have any issues there.
However, do you think I'll have any problems on TikTok? Like, still being unable to monetize, or tanking my account by changing the content format even if the niche stays the same?
I look forward to your opinions and recommendations.
Regards.
