preparing fight of mage vs invisible enemies

the group of players including mage has to face a group of opponents lets call them gargoyles who use improved invisibility. how do you treat this? invisibility does not protect against astral perception. but do you have the mage to roll test of astral perception against what? the sneaking skill of gargoyles?

what you as a DM? offer the player to roll this test as soon as he has chance to see the invisible opponent or the player has to guess himself when he has to roll this test?

if they fall to detect invisible enemy does they still have to make reaction+intuition test or they are considered ambushed automatically?

nissan roto-drone armor cost

Treat its Body as 3 higher than its actual Rating for determining how many weapon mounts or customizations it can integrate.

Body is 4. If i want to make his armor =12 the armour cost will be 4x12x200 or 7x12x200 ?

what to do with a troll

i am a n00b DM after second session... one player made a character with 29 armor.

15+3 for SWAT suit - which he got for advantage restricted gear

2 for barkskin

3 for titanium bones (used)

6 for shield.

so with 8 body he rolls like 37 dice for resisting damage. enemies with mashineguns and sniper rifles tried to shoot him and did no effect. a boss with assault cannot was able to wound him but not put him down. it seems any enemy with anything exempt assault cannon/ rocket launcher will just have to shoot at other party members

give me some tactical advice how to make his life more challenging

if enemy uses targeted shot can he choose to shoot at specific part of body which is not covered with a shield and-or helmet - like - right hand or leg?

i suppose magic can give him some problems?

several debuffs?

if characters are fighting against a pack of barghests and if each barghest uses his paralysing howling - does it mean that each character will roll will against each barghest and penalties summarize up cumulatively? or just one debuff will work?

question about movement in astral (probably stupid)

situation - two guys meet each other in a middle of nowhere (desert). they see each other from very long distance say 1000 meters, they know that they are enemies and they roll initiative. one has sniper rifle other is a mage - both can start shooting. but a mage has two elementals bound to him and they are in astral. mage orders elementals to melee attack the enemy. how fast they will move? can they use the endless speed in astral to immediately move in close contact with enemy or they will have to use combat speed of 100 meters per turn and it will take them 10 turns to move into melee?

cost of cloning tank

Hello, i am a very n00b GM of 5e and just finished my first game - the 1st mission of 5th season - and the players want to loot the cloning tanks from biolaboratory and sell them. they have some technical skills. what kind of test i must make them to do and how much money they will get from selling tanks and other stuff from laboratory? i never thought about such question when starting the game but characters are VERY greedy!!

shadowrun 5e question about delayed actions

lets presume that i have a delayed free action - does it mean that if i see an enemy running to me with obvious intention of making melee attack - can i declare that i run away from him to prevent him for reaching melee distance (if running is a free action)? what will happen first - my running away or his charging? same question for delayed normal actions

switching the attributes of cyberdeck in combat?

Shadowrun 5e the rules say that i can use a free action to reconfigure the deck attributes at any moment. does that mean that i can enter combat with attributes for example attack 7 firewall 6, use 7 limit for the attack, then immediately switch them to firewall 7 and attack 6 and meet the opponents attack this way?

Question about permanent spells (probably stupid)

what happens if a mage fails to finish stabilising a permanent spell i.e. if he casts its successfully but after that he is knocked out by stun or dispelled before the number of rounds equal to spell power passes - does some part of effect take place?

examples

ignite - the targets starts getting damage from fire - when? after a spell is being cast of after it is stabilised? if it is not stabilised it means no damage at all or it will do some damage for the number of rounds while mage was stabilising it?

heal - same question
