My alarms didn't fire, I got fired

lesson of the week: don't fall asleep with your phone on the bed during summer weather. my phone overheated and shut down so none of my alarms went off. I was 23 mins late to work and got canned.

I want to give my mom my airpod pro 2's because I no longer have an iphone and rarely use them.

Do I have to somehow log in to my apple ID to remove them from my account so she can have ownership or can she just pair to them and be fine? sometimes when they're on my desk they make a ringing noise so I think they're in lost mode or something.
