Recently got a VERY cheap 2001 golf 2.0 that has 200k miles on it. I want to make it into a fun little project car. The suspension needs to be mostly replaced due to age. I have sourced parts there. Does anyone have any suggestions on mods or upgrades for the engine. I understand the 2.SLOW is not going to break any speed records but are there easy ways to give it a bit more punch without a full engine replacement?

I lieu of having my own compost piles built and ready to go I am looking for a good source of compost to buy. I don't like the idea of getting bagged compost but I'd also like to make sure that it has the least amount of junk in it. I am in the south sound area. I did buy the Garden Blend from Walrath and that all went hydrophobic on me in 6 months. Any suggestions?
