Looking for some wheelchair friendly bars, activities, areas or events for my friend. He got into an accident last year on the first of June that left him in a wheelchair so we’re trying to do something fun that day this year. Also they’re not from here but are moving from Eastern Wa over to this area and are using this visit as a chance to gauge life over here a little as well.
If the weathers gloomy I was thinking to do more tourist activities like the aquarium, Chihuly, I’ve heard the space needle has accessibility issues here and there so I have no plans on going there.
I’d love recommendations for more outdoor activities, or even would love to hear about some experiences any wheelchair users have had in Seattle doing things.
I was thinking Bainbridge Island if it’s hot out but would love to hear about wheelchair accessibility there as well before I decide.
