The boys brought it up during KFGD today and I remember wanting to go so badly, I made all the plans to finally do it, and that was the year they cancelled it!
What was it like actually being there? Any good memories?
While I’m pretty into gaming I’ve fallen off the ‘culture’ over the past few years due to life just being busy and a few things I have picked up just not being super engaging. Currently playing final fantasy 16 right now and after a really good opening few hours, the game has slowed to a crawl, removed all the characters and I cared about and am now following a bunch I don’t. It’s this that’s made me write this post.
So, what games would you recommend from the PS5 era?
For reference, some of my favourite ‘recent’ games have been:
- Red dead 2
- Horizon Forbidden West
- Resident Evil 8
- Control
- Uncharted 4
- Guardians of the Galaxy
For what it’s worth, I’ve tried cyberpunk, Ragnarok, Harry Potter and Star Wars Jedi. None of those felt like they kept me coming back.
I feel like I really need an engaging story with strong characters I care about
