Let's read it to the end .. Every iQOO/Vivo users need to See this!
Hi guys, I've been using iQOO 12 for almost 1 year and 2 months now. So, I never used my phone in Funtouch OS 14, which other iQOO 12 users are still using. They say their phones don’t have heating issues, battery draining issues, etc., and their battery health is still around 94%-98% even after 3 years, while mine is already at 90%.
The moment I received my phone, I instantly updated it to Funtouch OS 15. So, from Day 1, I’ve been using the phone on Funtouch OS 15 for around 7 months, and recently I also received the Origin OS update. Honestly, I got too excited and updated it immediately, but after updating, my phone started having many bugs, like heating problems, battery draining problems, rounded corners resetting to the default shape in the status bar, bugs in the lock screen, and game frame drops after a few minutes. I got disappointed instantly.
So far, I had been thinking about downgrading to Funtouch OS 14 since the start of December, and I finally did it yesterday, 21/05/26. The price I paid was losing all my data. I thought downgrading the OS wouldn’t affect the files, just like upgrading the OS, but unfortunately, it wiped everything. Thankfully, around 90% of my data was already backed up, but I still miss those lost files, and that’s sad.
But anyway, let’s get back to the story. After downgrading to Funtouch OS 14, I noticed the battery draining problem was gone, and the phone felt easier to use. But quickly, it became boring, so I upgraded again to Funtouch OS 15. Surprisingly, this time there were no bugs, no battery draining problem, and everything felt normal. So I decided to stay on Funtouch OS 15.
Then I thought maybe the previous update process through the Settings app had caused some corrupted system files or unstable optimization during installation. So, I decided to clean install Origin OS again... but even after that, all those problems were still there.
So, if anyone wants to do silly things like me, please don’t do it. I know most people probably wouldn’t even try this, but still, take this as guidance from one fellow iQOO user to another.
DON’T MAKE THE DUMB MISTAKE I MADE!!
