Can someone explain how the email alias works? I got to the point of “create a new email” under the username page and made it the primary but I don’t understand how I am able to access that new alias email?

Is the alias I create on the sign in page a real email that I should already have in my inbox? Do I need to add it to the Microsoft Authenticator app?

I have removed it now but I want to have an alias because I keep getting unauthorized sign in requests on my Microsoft Authenticator app.

No idea what is correct to do.
