I filled these buns with plum jam - really delicious!
Why is leftover potatoes and vegetables mixed together and fried in a pan called bubble and squeak? Just looking at it doesn't give any clues and makes you think - why it is called that? But it actually refers to the bubbling and squeaking of the dish while it cooks. Regardless of the unusual name, it is delicious! I served it with fried eggs, crispy bacon and sriracha.
This cake has the contrast of a crunchy crumble with the soft fruit layer and also the cake/sponge layer. I also served this cake warm with vanilla ice-cream so there was also the contrast of warm and cold. A lovely delight overall!
I did this week's challenge with my 4 year old daughter. The cupcakes have a cookie on top, so we analysed the difference between a cookie and a cupcake.
Of course we also discussed the phases of the moon. Note that we did the phases of the moon as seen from the southern hemisphere as that is where we live, which is different from the northern hemisphere.
Overall we had a lot of fun! The cupcakes were super yummy!
Last photo shows the crust on the bottom before I turned it out! So delicious!
I grew up eating offal, so this week's challenge wasn't as gross for me as it may be for many of you all. Steak and kidney pie is a childhood favourite of mine, so I had to make it this week! Served with steamed broccolini and green beans.
I picked a dessert from Spain to make!
Each bowl contains 15g of fiber. So delicious!
I used pumpkin from the garden. A lovely soup for this time of year (it is winter here in Australia). Served with my white sourdough bread.
