Unfortunately my budgie died tonight. I have cried all morning, I am so devastated. The other one is screaming for his friend, he is fortunately still eating.

I have them only 2 weeks and they are 11 weeks old. I will bring them to the vet tomorrow hopefully they can tell the cause. I can't stop crying he was the funniest little guy, just yesterday he was searching my hands for millet und he was so soft and warm and lively. This is the worst.

He does this whenever he eats but only then, sometime shoter, sometimes like 30 seconds. He doesn't spit something out or anything just moving like this. Else he is lively and he also uses his beak to chew on some wooden parts of his interior. I have him for three days, the breeder says she hasn't seen it before. I have some of her food and fed it exclusively today (mixed it with mine before) but he did the same. I also have his brother, he doesn't do it. Does anyone know this behavior?
