We can’t let Montana be a better state*

I’ve been reading up on Montana’s plan to end run around Citizens United. It’s called “the Montana Plan” and it establishes a law that any corporation or union registered in Montana cannot donate to political parties/politicians.

It has bipartisan support. Notably the last three governors, of different parties, all are championing it. The DA is not (guess who wants to be governor and needs donations).

Montanans vote on it this Fall.

We should start a campaign to ask our governor to do something similar. Either governor. I’d be curious to see how the politicians looking for higher office feel, and the only way to know is to ask.

*Hawaii technically did it first but who are we kidding no state bests Hawaii.

Normally I use tomato cages for my peppers and determinate tomatoes, but this year I was gifted 50 t-posts so I want to try running a string or cable to the plant to help support it that way. Similar to the photo except using cable across the top instead of another post.

Gardeners who have done it like this, do you find it more work than a regular cage type support?
Any hints you can share?
