Recommendations for a 70th birthday treat
My Dad turns 70 in March and I'd really love to take him for a really special fine dining experience to mark it, as he loves his food. Ideally somewhere where he might have heard of the chef, as he watches programmes like Masterchef. But the main thing is outstanding food. I had thought about the Fat Duck but i've seen some reviews saying it's not what it used to be and is overpriced for the quality now. My other thought was Le Manoir, but that's closed for refurbishment and Raymond Blanc has handed over the cheffing reins. Any recommendations for a fine dining experience that will knock his socks off? Happy to travel anywhere in the UK.
