Hi, I posted yesterday but couldn't figure out how to update my post to add another photo from today.

I found another one of these guys today, but looks like this one is fully developed. I suspect it's a silverfish, which is what people thought about the one I posted yesterday.

Found in my flat in the UK, near some workout equipment in the kitchen. This was a little larger than yesterday's - maybe 1.5cm long, or 2cm including the antennae.

Can anyone ID this for me, please? Thanks in advance.

Hi all, can I have some help to ID this please? I found it whilst playing with my cat in one of his many cardboard boxes.

Based on other posts, I suspect it's a silverfish, but I'm not very familiar with bug types so would like to confirm.

The photo is post-cat chewing it, so not sure if it had any antennae (I don't know if the long fibre on the top left is a bug part - could be a carpet fibre or something else from when I scooped it off the floor).

It was moving around quite fast, sort of in a slithery motion, and even played dead to avoid being caught by my cat.

For context, my place is fully carpeted and we have a lot of cardboard boxes dotted around because of the cats. I live in the UK, and the bug was quite small (roughly 1cm long).
