How to get rid of a hornet nest further than 27ft away and maybe 30-40 feet off the ground, inside a tree.

Hello all! I’m dealing with an interesting battle here. These hornets live inside this tree in my backyard. The reason the distance is so specific is because I have tried those jet bug spray canisters and that didn’t reach. The remaining distance led me to believe it could be closer to 40 feet away from me.
I’ve tried so many resources but cannot find a solution to fully remove them without calling pest control.
I’ve tried my hose, a pressure washer, a pump sprayer just to say I’ve tried.
The best option was when my dad came over and creamed the nest with a big rock on the first throw.
Since then I’ve landed about 4 more devastating shots with rocks on the nest but the hornets still remain.
I’ve now bought a slingshot and have landed 2 shots with rocks and have destroyed the nest, but the hornets are still there, they must be deep.

Any suggestions on any tools or devices to reach that far! Thanks 😎

Help identifying: mice or rats?

Hoping a more knowledgeable person could tell me if these babies I found in my attic are mice or rats?

Thank you!

Cockroach poo or cigarette beetle eggs or something else? In Queensland, Australia

My mum cooked this chicken with tumeric and we noticed these black dots in it. She thinks it’s cockroach poo but after some googling, it looks to me like cigarette beetle eggs since they look ‘Shelly’. What do you think?

Rats/Mice

Hi,

2 days ago I went into my kitchen and seen a rat/mouse on my washing machine, it ran and hid behind it.
Yesterday, I seen it/different one run across the kitchen floor.

I keep hearing rustling and cracking noises in my kitchen.

When I sleep, I hear loud thumps and scratching in my walls/floor, all night. I haven’t been able to sleep.
I’m afraid to go into my kitchen.
I have 2 young children.

If they are scratching walls or the floor, can they chew a hole to get into the room? I’m worried they will get into my kids bedroom. Will they attack me or my children?
My bathroom is downstairs, you have to walk through the kitchen to get to the bathroom. So I’m worried if the kids need the toilet in the night they will get close to it.

Contacted pest control, and they are coming out Monday, so in 3 days. Are we safe here until then?
What do I do?
I’ve never had to deal with this before and my anxiety is sky high.

Is this a cockroach or something else?

Found this in NYC, Queens, and I saw it run on my table, so I killed it without hesitating. When I looked online, it looked like a German cockroach, but im not sure. I never really had any roach issues in my house, just occasionally clicking beetles.

One roach

Recently the wife spotted this thing crawling in from the very poorly sealed back door. Immediately tore apart the house bath and kitchen looking for any evidence of roaches or droppings or skins and found none. Terminix was out this morning and the guy seemed knowledgeable. Said he found no evidence of an infestation or established population but that he also wouldn’t if it was the beginning stages. He said it appeared to be a German roach but that he didn’t necessarily see the two stripes on the head clearly ( the roach looked much lighter colored in person) So I’m doing glue traps and a spray treatment from them as he suggested. Our house is very clean as he noted and with no evidence of more is there more I should be doing? I have a kid on the way and don’t want to miss something and have a huge problem. Could this just be a wood roach from outside or am I screwed? No horror stories just advice please already worried enough.

Should I call pest control back?

Need some advice!
Called in pest control to spray my apartment for prevention. This was last Friday.
Today I found a dead German roach under my counter. Appeared to be dead for at least a few days. Should I call the exterminator to come out again?

Type of roach?

Had this at a customers condo today. I think it’s a Spotted Mediterranean but can’t say 100%. I know they’re usually an occasional invader from outside but they said they were killing them 15 at a time and both neighbors had them which made me want to look into it further. Is it possible for them to infest a home?

I think I’m losing the battle.

What else should I try? I’ve been applying the two pictured items once a week and it’s now been 2 months and they’re still very active along the top of the fence at night.

I see 1 or 2 in the house a day. Thanks for help in advance, ya’ll are hero’s!

Little bugs in the bottom half of our house since my sister moved out

My sister was living with my husband and I and she moved out at the end of June. I noticed since she’s left and the space hasn’t been used that these little bugs are all over; I haven’t seen one alive. These bugs are nowhere upstairs.

For reference, the lower level’s windows are right at eye level of the lawn (like the lawn is visible and covers about less than a quarter of the window).

What are these bugs and how can we avoid them coming in? I’d like to put a craft area down there but can’t deal with the bugs.

How would you deal with silverfishes that are all over my 24 square meters place?

Hi, they are near my bed, on the floor, kitchen wall literally everywhere. I vacuum the floor every 4 days. The air is always clean and I set different traps. What should I do? even on the walls of the house. Should I call someone and just give up?

Carpenter ant infestation in spray foam insulation, how to handle this?

I redid my small home and put in a cathedral ceiling it was very labor intensive, after some research I decided to do a hot roof install, utilizing spray foam directly to the underside of the roof sheathing.

Fast forward 2 years later, we started seeing the odd carpenter ant here and there, thought nothing of it.
Then all of the sudden 2 days ago we started seeing them all over. In one day I must have killed 100 at least just walking around including some with wings.

70 percent of my attic is inaccessible, the drywall is maybe 8 inches off of the spray foam.

I cut a small hole in and put an endoscope up there, and I’ve seen piles of dead ants everywhere and misc insulation frass. I believe this is the ant cemetery. I am unable to see the colony from there.

How does an exterminator handle this?

I don’t think interior and outdoor perimeter sprays are enough here.

Should I cut the ceiling open and find the colony?

I am afraid of it raining down ants,

I’m also afraid that opening up the ceiling will just make them all scatter and move the queen and eggs before I would have a chance to get someone to spray the nest.

What is the best method here?

Am i getting an infestation??

Hey i have noticed some (maybe 3 or 4) dead carpet beetles close to my window some months ago and since then didn't pay much attention, now that i went back to sleeping there, i noticed that I often had itching on my legs and arms but didn't get alarmed until i decided to do a general cleaning of the room where i finally found em..

Yesterday i noticed under a heavy shelf (i usually put my clothes in there) some unidentified exoskeletons (maybe 8 of them) from nearly the same size and one of them was alive, i killed it and was curious to see if there were more, i moved it and in fact there was some small ones there and under my bed aswell (maybe around 3 or 4 more) and some on a carpet that was folded and stored there, i immediately throw that carpet away and moved all the furnitures, i cleaned the floor with a mix of bleach and other basic cleaning products, wiped all the corners of the furniture where dust clouds formed, and used clothes steamer around all the corners since apparently heat kills the eggs ect, i washed all the clothes that were laying around and left em sun drying (couldn't wash em at high temperature for some reasons but i know it is preferable to do so).

However, after movin that shelf to another place in my room, i noticed today two more exoskeletons near by it, and one larva on my bed, i took out the drawers, no sign of carpet beetles on the clothes, but under the last drawer i did find an exoskeleton, then immediately too it out wiped it as much as i can and use the clothes steamer there aswell.

I don't know if what i'm doing is efficient or not, or if this is considered an infestation or not and if i can totally get rid of them at this stage or not

( Specificities : i identified the bugs and its furniture carpet beetles if i'm not wrong, I don't live in an old apartment, I don't have parquet flooring, but tiles.i live in the Mediterranean Region. If you need to know anything more to help me I'll answer!)

Help identifying this larvae!

Help! Found these guys (and two more so far) crawling on my floor from seemingly out of nowhere! Second pic is a far out view of where I found them. They seem to be coming from under the rug but there is nothing under the rug. I will say that there is a tiny gap between the floorboards and this is over a concrete slab. I even checked the ceiling above to see if they were falling down from somewhere but there is nothing but a light fixture above this area. Totally gross, looking for some help.

If it helps, they were a little bit longer and a little less fat when they were moving. After I killed them. They kind of shrunk up and got shorter.
