Hi,

2 days ago I went into my kitchen and seen a rat/mouse on my washing machine, it ran and hid behind it.
Yesterday, I seen it/different one run across the kitchen floor.

I keep hearing rustling and cracking noises in my kitchen.

When I sleep, I hear loud thumps and scratching in my walls/floor, all night. I haven’t been able to sleep.
I’m afraid to go into my kitchen.
I have 2 young children.

If they are scratching walls or the floor, can they chew a hole to get into the room? I’m worried they will get into my kids bedroom. Will they attack me or my children?
My bathroom is downstairs, you have to walk through the kitchen to get to the bathroom. So I’m worried if the kids need the toilet in the night they will get close to it.

Contacted pest control, and they are coming out Monday, so in 3 days. Are we safe here until then?
What do I do?
I’ve never had to deal with this before and my anxiety is sky high.

I’ve had copper iud for 8 years, been bleeding and cramping a lot. Was referred for an ultrasound. They told me that my IUD was sitting in the wrong position which is causing the cramps and bleeding due to irritating my uterus.

Here is the issue, I called my GP, they have nobody trained to take it out, I called sexual health clinic as they can usually do this, they said they can’t see my ultrasound and don’t want to take it out due to not knowing the exact position. I called my GP back, she contacted me and apologised and said they can’t find anyone local who can remove it, as they need specialist training, she said she can refer me to gynaecologist in my local hospital, but, this could take a few months to get an appointment.
I don’t know what to do.
This has been happening for 8 months now, and I don’t know where to go. I’m fed up with bleeding and being in pain.

I have been put on the pill so contraception is all sorted.
I loved this iud and would love another but I am terrified the same will happen.

I am in the UK if that changes advice.

So, I had the copper IUD for 8 years and I’ve been having cramps and bleeding, so had a scan and they told me that it has moved too low and not providing protection anymore.

Before this I had 2 children

Before that I had the implant.

I’m getting the IUD out on Friday next week. I wanted another but I’m worried it’ll move again.

I have now been put on pop. Desogestrel.

I’ve never had to take any tablets before, not as religiously as this anyway.
I work shifts and have 2 kids.
So my life is pretty busy, how do you start to remember to take it? I’m sure after a while it will be natural and in a routine. But I am so anxious I’ll miss on and get pregnant.

When you first started, how did you start to remember to take it at the same time?

I’ve been having random heavy bleeding between my periods, I went to have an ultrasound and they had said that my IUD has slipped down and it’s too low to provide any protection.

I’ve had it for 8 years now, I’m a bit worried as me and hubby have unprotected sex because I thought it was safe with the IUD.

I do want it replaced, so out and a new one in, as it’s the only contraception that has worked for me…. Until now.
I thought it can move in the first few months of it being inserted not years later.

1. Is this rare for it to happen?
2. What can cause it to suddenly move?

I’m going to get it removed and I want a new one, as my body doesn’t deal with hormones very well. I’ve had 3 children and me and my husband doesn’t want more. Im worried the same could happen again and I won’t know, we’ve been having unprotected sex for years. I also wasn’t aware it could move all these years later, I was told in the first few months it could potentially move if it was going to.

Anyone else had this experience?

She said that it had “slipped down too low and it’s not sitting in the right place” she also said it’s not providing the protection I need and to use alternatives.

I know in the first few months it can move, I wasn’t aware after all this time it can move.

So, today I’m having an abdominal and transvaginal ultrasound.
For pain and bleeding between periods.
I came on my period yesterday and I tried to call the department but it’s just been ringing out!

Does anyone know if you can still have it on the days you’re bleeding? I’m travelling 4 hours and I don’t want to go for them to tell me they can’t do it.

I mean because I am having bleeding, I’m sure it will be fine. I’m just a tad worried

I keep having random brown spotting between my periods.
Been to the doctors, and gynaecologist, had STI tests, hormone, everything has come back negative.

I did have a smear in January and that came back positive for HPV but no abnormal cell changes.
I have very light cramps with it too.
I’ve been on the copper iud for 7 years now and had no issues with that.
Any idea what this could be or where I can get help or find out what’s wrong? Or could this just be normal for me now?
I’m 32.
I’ve been back and forward to my doctor and they tell me everything looks normal. But if so, why am I having this?

Hey, so I have this boil, ingrown hair? Maybe.
I’ve had it 3 days now and it’s not getting bigger but it really hurts! It throbs and when it’s touched, it stings so bad.
I’m also on my period and due to personal reasons I can only use sanitary towels which I’m sure isn’t helping it.
It’s literally on the crease between my outer labia and my crotch area, I can’t even walk because it hurts so bad.
I’ve been having baths, using heat on it and taking painkillers. My panty line rubs on it too which causes pain. I’ve got a wedding to attend tomorrow!
Does anyone know of ways I can ease the pain a little?
Or do I literally have to just cope and try to walk normal tomorrow?
I won’t try to pop it or anything.

I’ve had the copper IUD for 7 years now, a friend recently told me she has switched to a menstrual cup and told me how good it was and I’d like to try it for myself.

Does anyone know if it’s safe with an iud? I’ve been reading up on it and some sources say it’s ok, others say it’s best to avoid them as the suction could dislodge it.
