so basically im 17, my family isnt really open about these limd of things and i want to start usuing a period disk or a cup or something but all the videos i see of it they look like they have a really big hole to be able to fit that in whereas with me i can fit one finger before it hurts and i dont know if im doing smt wrong i know theres a difference in where u pee vs sex or period but idk what is what

I really hate pads and can't use tampons. I've been thinking about switching to period underwear and reusable pads but all the ones I see have a tiny absorbent area. Not to be like tmi but I have a crazy heavy flow and im scared that id bleed through all the ones I can find. Does anyone else with a heavy flow know good brands for these products?
I had gotten my period during the football game, sat down with my friends. It was time for me to go so I stood up, looked down, and omg. It was about a quarter size stain that looked orange. I then realized, oh shit. I got my period. I’m not really too close with the friend I was with, she looked down too, but didn’t say anything and just said goodbye/ being nice etc. it didn’t really register to me that it was my period blood, but once I realized I was horrified. I checked my pants, which were black, thank god. Honestly the stain didn’t really look like standard period blood, it was extreme orangey so that’s why it took me a minute to register that in my head. I have a pretty heavy flow so I’m glad it wasn’t a bigger stain. I’m really embarrassed tho. I feel gross for not going back and cleaning it. I don’t know if the girl next to me knew it was period blood or what. I just hope she won’t tell anyone if she knows. Advice on not to feel ashamed and absolutely disgusting please.
Hey everyone! I have been using tampon for roughly 5 years and I’m ready to switch to something new. I’ve done some research on different period products and have settled on trying a menstrual disc. I’m curious, what brand do you all use/would recommend. I’ve heard a lot about both the reusable Flex and Saalt discs but am overall stumped on what to get. Let me know what advice you may have regarding new period products or brands :)
