Uterus cramps

I’m suffering with the uterus cramps at night. It started all of sudden. I haven’t experienced that much pain in my life. I’ve already taken pain killers. But it still hurts so badly. I can’t go to sleep. How can I manage to get some sleep.

really gross, but…

recently, I went to the hospital after eight months of irregular heavy menstrual bleeding. I bled so much that I developed severe anemia. my hemoglobin was a three when I went into the doctors, and they were all just astounded that I was alive, but I'm sure that is due to the fact that I was practically bedridden, so I wasn't moving much at all because if I went any further than the front door, I was absolutely going to pass out. anyway, I received about four transfusions of blood. they managed to get me up to a seven, which is still critically low, but obviously better than what I was at when I came in. when I left, I did feel full of life again. they got me started on some medication. I was supposed to take iron pills every two days, and some pill called medroxyprogesterone (provera) every day which completely stopped the bleeding. now I have been taking it consistently, but I do think about five days to almost a week ago I missed a dose because I just had a really busy day. after that, I started spotting, then the blood got darker and then it got heavier. I am now on day five of the bleeding and I am soaking through the highest absorbency tampon every three hours. I am not sure what I should do at this point if I need to go back to the ER or if I just need to give the medication more time ?? really gross, but attached is a photo of what I’m passing every three hours

Question about the HPV vaccine (Gardasil 9)

Just wanted to check if anyone missed a period after taking the vaccine. My period was due on the 17th of July and I got the vaccine on the 15th of July. I completely skipped my period and now waiting for the next one to come. Has this happened to anyone? Any advice or help would be appreciated :)

Y'all have 3 weeks in between periods?? 😭

Do y'all actually have only 3 weeks between periods? I've always had a month in between periods and I thought it was normal, and when I found out about the different phases I was so fucking confused bc they were saying like week 1, menstrual, week 2, follicular, week 3, ovulation, week 4, luteal. I'm confused on where that lines up for me

Like genuinely mine is like 30 days from when it ends to when the next begins. I was always confused when I was younger watching period talks on yt and seeing a girl saying "my period usually starts on the first"

Anyways tdlr: my period has about 30 days in between each one and now I'm a bit worried my cycle isn't normal

First period storyyy

So i lowk got my first period today 😛✌🏽 and i wanted to share my story.

I was in algebra talking to my friends normally and suddenly it felt like i shit myself and pissed myself at the same time😭😭. I was lowk freaking out because like did i just actually piss myself in class???. So i ask the teacher to go to the bathroom and she was like can you wait until so and so comes back and i was like no. She let me go and I had to go so far since there was no bathroom in the building i was currently in so i went to the cafeteria bathroom. When i got to the bathroom and checked it literally looked like i pooped my pants👹 just brown discharge EVERYWHERE. And to make matters worse ,I checked my shorts and there was a stain🥳 I lowk started freaking out and started silently shouting expletives😭. After I pulled myself together I RAN back to my class and sat my butt down. I started telling my bestie what happened and asked if she had any pads. I was too scared to ask the teacher to go to the bathroom again so i just sat there. There were 20 mins until class ended and I just sat there feeling blood coming out of me whenever i shifted😭. The bell finally rings and me and my friend DASH to the bathroom while she walks behind me so no one sees the stain. She hands me a pad and I luckily had a change of shorts from my PE class. I texted my mom and she went and picked me upp😛 we went to the store and she bought me all the stuff I needed and some skincare and gummy bears💖.

Now im just trying to survive the lower back cramps😫😫

Im never gonna forget this lol i was so terrified in the moment.

i’ve had a really weird experience with my period this time.

i (18) have almost always been super regular with my periods. i got my first when i was 11 or 12, and even then i was pretty regular. my cramps have been very intense since the first period. i was on BC from 15 to 16, but stopped taking it after a while. my periods were the same before, during, and after the pill. lately, however, my cycles have gotten a little.. odd.

i traveled out of state with family a couple months ago, and we crossed time zones twice in one week. i’ve heard that time zone changes can effect a period, but this was my first experience with it. i was 8 days late, one of my cousins (18), was 10 days late. the next month, i was a day early. this month, i started on time, but i bled through 3 pairs of my period underwear and 10 heavy duty overnight pads in 24 hours. my period underwear usually will last me 8 hours total on a regular flow day. the second day of my period was slightly better, but i had bled through 4 regular pads within 8 hours. day 3 being today, i’ve only noticed heavy cramps and a very bad nauseating, dizzy feeling.

should i bring this up to my gynecologist, or am i just being a hypochondriac?

I love my friends

Today my friend asked if I wanted to go out with her but I'm day 2 deep in the trenches so said I just wanted a cozy day in, so instead she offered to come over after she had done all she wanted to do outside

Before she got on the train to mine she mentioned that she was going to go to the cake shop and asked if I wanted anything, I said absolutely and she sent me a picture of their display unit and I circled 2 options and told her to surprise me.

When she got to mine I noticed the box was super heavy. I opened it and expected 2 slices (like the one on the right) nope. Apparently one of the options I circled was a full entire cake and she bought it, no questions asked, no judgment, no nothing.

She also got us "activity books" (we always buy silly activities to do at mine like bracelet making, slime etc) hers was Sanrio and she got me Sonic (I love sonic)

We spent 4hrs coloring, eating and chatting

After she left I cuddled up on my couch in my pj's, in an oodie smothered by blankets while I had a bit of cake (pictured in the 2nd photo) while my cat snuggled up to me and I played cozy games on my Xbox (Any girls who like cozy games I highly recommend lil gator game!!)

Today has been hell on my period, I've had to change my pad every 2-3hrs and I have to sit still or I feel a jelly fish army come out of me, but knowing my friend cared so much about me made today a lot easier 🩷🩷

If muscle contractions during orgasm can be pleasurable, then why muscle contractions during periods have to suck so bad!!

Biology is doing me in with this pain! Smh. Couldn't there have been another way to push out the uterus lining instead of producing those prostaglandins mf which squeez the shit out of that organ!! Break it out down some other way or reabsorb it ffs!

Horrific foot and leg pain on period

Does anyone else experience really really achy feet and legs before their period & during it? Mine starts around a week before and doesn’t go away till after my period is finished.

My feet are freezing too and it’s just really odd and everyone I’ve discussed it with so far has no idea what I mean lol!

It’s just an awful achy tight feeling in my legs and feet and I constantly feel the need to stretch my legs to ease the pain.

I’ve made an appointment for the doctors for next week cause it’s just unbearable now for me

If anyone else struggles how to you manage it?

What does Day 4 of your period usually feel like for you?

Even if cramps fade by Day 4, do you still feel deeply exhausted, low-energy, and just want to rest without talking?

Anyone else? What tf do you do in those times? I have to get Up, leave the house and get painkillers at the pharmacy and even that feels so daunting

Do people with no period pain exist?

Me personally, I’ve always had very painful periods. I’m talking like, I have tried different very powerful painkillers and even a high dose of them and they do not help. I have painful periods that also numb my legs, and it feels like I’ve been to gym and done a leg day for 3 hours straight allthough I always bleed very light. Is this normal? Like genuinely sometimes it is so bad I can’t even go anywhere. The first 2 days are so bad all I can do is just lay in pain hoping for the painkillers to work (they don’t) until I “drift off” into sleep. I feel like nothing helps, this isn’t sudden, It is always been like this but I feel like it is worsening over time. I do not wanna try birth control or any that type of stuff for my periods.
