Hey i have noticed some (maybe 3 or 4) dead carpet beetles close to my window some months ago and since then didn't pay much attention, now that i went back to sleeping there, i noticed that I often had itching on my legs and arms but didn't get alarmed until i decided to do a general cleaning of the room where i finally found em..

Yesterday i noticed under a heavy shelf (i usually put my clothes in there) some unidentified exoskeletons (maybe 8 of them) from nearly the same size and one of them was alive, i killed it and was curious to see if there were more, i moved it and in fact there was some small ones there and under my bed aswell (maybe around 3 or 4 more) and some on a carpet that was folded and stored there, i immediately throw that carpet away and moved all the furnitures, i cleaned the floor with a mix of bleach and other basic cleaning products, wiped all the corners of the furniture where dust clouds formed, and used clothes steamer around all the corners since apparently heat kills the eggs ect, i washed all the clothes that were laying around and left em sun drying (couldn't wash em at high temperature for some reasons but i know it is preferable to do so).

However, after movin that shelf to another place in my room, i noticed today two more exoskeletons near by it, and one larva on my bed, i took out the drawers, no sign of carpet beetles on the clothes, but under the last drawer i did find an exoskeleton, then immediately too it out wiped it as much as i can and use the clothes steamer there aswell.

I don't know if what i'm doing is efficient or not, or if this is considered an infestation or not and if i can totally get rid of them at this stage or not

( Specificities : i identified the bugs and its furniture carpet beetles if i'm not wrong, I don't live in an old apartment, I don't have parquet flooring, but tiles, i live in the Mediterranean Region. If you need to know anything more to help me I'll answer!)
