Looking at a vacant lot, zoned R4UD. There are trees that appear to be on the property line/or on the neighbors side of the lot that cover the lot severely.
I saw the listing on redfin and thought this would be a huge PITA. If I'm understanding it correctly, if the trees are on the boundary or on the neighbors side, they could say no you're SOL to build?
My understanding is you can cut the overhanging branches? but this would likely kill the tree.
Anyone have insight on how this would work? Seen it on the market for an year now.
Listing if anyone was curious: https://www.redfin.ca/on/ottawa/133-Eccles-St-K1R-6S7/home/149398130
