Hi all! I’ve been having a many months long fight with my insurance [independence blue cross] about covering a consultation for bottom surgery.
The surgeons I’m looking at are all out of state. Out of state procedures are covered in my benefits “if” the procedure cannot be had in my home state of Pennsylvania. I argued with them that, because I’m looking at specific surgeons performing a cosmetic surgery, vaginoplasty, the results of the procedure vary from surgeon to surgeon and cannot be replicated by any Pennsylvania doctor. This may be my only chance to argue this case with them so I would deeply appreciate any advice as to what I should tell them to convince that out of state procedures and in state procedures are different.
