What should I be looking for with Wellvue 02 Ring Data?

I was diagnosed with mild (5.3) sleep apnea last year and did nothing about it. I suspect it is worse now though. I am using a Wellue 02 Ring for the last number of nights and have very inconsistent total scores, from 7.7 through 9.9. What I'm looking for is a quick and dirty guide to what alarming stats are (eg more than mild apnea). Am I correct that sustained 02 drops under 90 are the problem? So far, I've have two brief dips below 90 (30-40 seconds) with consistent nightly averages of 96

Any Hand Holding Welcome. Newbie with three bad nights now.

Mild apnea diagnosis (5.4 AHI) but ringconn had started showing more like 7 AHI. Just finished my third night with Resmed 11. First night .9 AHI, second 1.5 AHI, last night 3.8 AHI. Each night was pretty bad and I'm dismayed to see the 3.8 today. Most of that was central apneas, and I was diagnosed with none of those. I understand from reading this and other forums that central apneas can increase for awhile when starting CPAP but I'm a little freaked. Each of the three night has been very restless, and last night a few big leaks (Phillips nasal mask--I may need a smaller size).

Longing for some refreshing sleep. Clinician set machine at 4-20 pressure. OSCAR says my median pressure is 6 and highest is 12, so I will adjust those. Not sure what other adjustments to make as I am reading different things about EPR.

I really want to give this a go, but the mild diagnosis and bad nights make me also want to toss the whole thing.

First Night Success and a Couple of Questions: Resmed Airsense 11

69 year old female. A home sleep test confirmed mild apnea (5.4 AHI) and my Ringconn data shows anywhere from 5-7.5 AHI over the last month. Finally decided to try CPAP. I found the whole thing easy to set up and use, and I got a 99 score on my first night, AHI .9. I have a few newbie questions:

  1. Does anyone ever get 0 AHI?

  2. The 99 score was because I took off the mask 3 times. I am quite certain I did not remove the entire mask from my head--that would definitely have woken me up to put it back on--but I do semi recall having to adjust the nose piece a bit when I turned over from one side to the other. Is this what "removing the mask" might mean?

  3. I was semi conscious when the pressure increased during the night. My machine is set from 4-20. How can I tell from MyAir or the machine itself (?) how much the pressure/air was increased during the night, and when? I don't see this data given. BTW, today I will purchase an SD card and start to upload to OSCAR. I assume, if not on MyAir, I will be able to see that information there?

  4. I did not wake up to go to the bathroom even one time last night! My usual pattern is 2-3 times/night, so that is a positive thing. However, according to Ringconn, although very few apnea events, my sleep was still pretty poor. I did sleep 7 hours (great) but with the usual very little REM and very little deep sleep. Can I hope this may improve with CPAP over time?

Thanks for advice and direction! I do realize that MyAir is woefully basic, and I hope I can navigate through the complications of OSCAR.

Holy Spirit Novena begins today!

This is the oldest novena, one said by the Apostles as they awaited the Holy Spirit and recited by members of the Catholic Church around the world. It is very powerful. Google for it; I use the one at the EWTN site. Start today, and it ends the day before Pentecost.

Inaccuracy of sleep data?

I bought this ring mainly to indicate sleep apnea or not. It shows I have mild sleep apnea, and that's been confirmed by another independent sleep test. However, the general sleep data on this ring seems way off. At least, it is not at all consistent with that of my iwatch. For example, last night the ring showed 25 minutes of REM and 1.5 hours of deep sleet. The Apple watch showed 1.3 hours of REM and 1 hour of deep sleep. The ring told me I had "excellent" sleep with a score of 85; the Apple watch told me I had 'Ok" sleep with a score of 72. I woke up feeling groggy and tired, certainly not like I had "excellent" sleep. My question is: does anyone else notice poor sleep recordings on this ring?

Does a CPAP help with little REM at night?

I'm an older female who has been concerned about my sleep quality for some time. A sleep test and Ringconn show that I have mild sleep apnea (AHI typically 4-7). One thing I've noticed from the Ringconn and, before that, the Wellue ring is that I typically get very little REM sleep. I'm considering CPAP and wonder if it helps not only with AHI but REM as well.

Our Associate Pastor drives me crazy in that he never focuses the homily on any of the readings. As he did today, he starts by saying something like: "all of these readings today are so rich, there is so much to talk about....however, today I'd like to talk about X." "X" is some agenda item he has about, for example, a moral teaching of the Church, serving our neighbor, striving for peace, etc. In short, they are all good topics, but NEVER on the readings. I go to Mass hungry to hear more about the readings because I've prepared them beforehand. Is this common?
