Battery life Gen 2
I charged my ring to full around 7:00pm and it’s now 9:20 and it’s 86%. I haven’t done anything other than remove it from charger, put it on my finger and made dinner. Wtf?

Genuinely SO annoyed at how inaccurate the sleep tracking is on this app…. Every single morning I have to go in and manually set the time I roughly fell asleep at. Never seems to track when I wake up and walk to the washroom in the middle of the night either.
Anyone having trouble with the app and ring syncing? The last few days I have had to reset my ring every day to get it to sync.
Hi there! Curious to see if any of you think the resting heart rate is actually accurate? For context, I work a desk job and I sit at a desk for probably 14 hours a day. It is a stressful job, but my ring will alert me that I have a high heart rate (sometimes up to 150-186) throughout the day when I’m just sitting and typing/working. Could this be a glitch with how quickly I’m typing?
I’m trying to figure out if I should take this seriously or it could be a defective ring. I’m stressed for sure and have some chest pain, but I think it’s probably anxiety? I’ve never had heart issues before. Thanks for your help!
Today I became the proud owner of a 3rd generation ring. Until today, I had been using the 2nd generation ring.
I’ve watched dozens of reviews of the 3rd generation ring. Almost all reviewers highlighted vibration notifications as the killer feature. It’s a revolution in the world of smart rings. This has never been done before, but everyone was waiting for it, and now it’s finally here! Now, if you’ve never owned a smart ring, you absolutely have to try this one. For the history books, the Gen3’s release date will be more significant than the launch of the first iPhone. But not a single reviewer showed exactly which notifications they had customized for their needs.
I imagined it would work something like this: a “Ring Vibration” option would be added to the system notifications, with settings for individual vibration patterns for each type of notification.
But after buying it, I now realize that was a scam. Not just a scam, but outright fraud. The ring won’t notify you of anything, and it seems like no one is going to fix this.
The developers justify their laziness in making the software user-friendly by claiming that this extends the battery life. Total nonsense! A typical gamer’s smartphone can run on a single battery charge for a week, but no gamer would complain that the battery only lasts for 3 hours of PUBG. Try explaining to a gamer why they have to keep losing just to get an extra hour of gameplay.
I have two power banks to keep my smartphone charged at all times. The first power bank charges while the second one is discharging. Why can't we do the same thing with rings? It's so easy to put one ring on to charge and then wear the ring you take off the charger.
I’ve never had a company do a return like this. I’m curious if anyone has done it like this as well.
I’ve been looking at purchasing a ringconn gen 3 and have a sizing kit. After comparing the 3 and the 2, I’m debating saving money and purchasing the gen 2. My question is, can I use the ringconn gen 3 sizing kit for both the gen 3 and the gen 2? Is the kit a universal sizing kit for the company?
This wasn’t an issue that long ago, but now i have to have my app running in the background like not swiped away in order for it to track stuff for me? Anyone else having this issue? It’s really annoying. Also my battery used to last a while and now it’s dying within 5 days, i’ve had it since february.
Good lord!
I joined this community hoping to learn about people's experiences with the ring—how it feels to wear, what they like about it, and whether it's worth buying. Instead, almost everything I've come across has been negative reviews and complaints. About sleep being off, steps being off, etc. It's honestly making me rethink this purchase, especially considering how much of an investment it is.
I know Reddit tends to be an echo chamber for negative experiences since people who have issues are much more likely to post than those who are happy with their purchase. But is that really the case here? Are the negative posts simply from the minority of unhappy users who took the time to share their experience, while the majority of satisfied users just don't post? Or are these reviews representative of what most owners actually think?
Have a ringconn gen 2
Battery life was a whole week when i got it about a year ago
Now dropped to one night!!??
This drop has been sudden
Dont know if there’s a software update or more people are also experiencing this
I expected the battery to start wearing off since its a small device but this is quite drastic
Hi! I made a post a little while ago raging about how disappointed I am with my purchase of the Gen3. Granted, I was definitely feeling a lot of emotions while making the post, but I did learn something from making it...
Prior to purchasing the ring, I did loads of research, watched a bunch of youtube videos comparing all the smartrings and whatnot, etc. It seemed clear as day to me taht RingConn was the way to go and with the new Gen 3 coming out, i pre-ordered it. After getting the ring and encountering some difficulties, I turned to this subreddit. At first glance, it is overwhelmingly negative with the amount of people that are also unhappy with their purchase.
However, when looking at the stats of my original post complaining, there were an overwhelming amount of downvotes which leads me to believe that there is a silent majority of RingConn Gen 3 wearers that enjoy their ring and disagree with me. Hence the decision to make this post. I am calling all Gen 3 lovers to tell me why they love the ring.
It's highly possible that my opinion and experience is due to user error. I much rather fix that and see what I am doing wrong than anything else. At the end of the day, I already have this ring and almost 2 months of data on it.
My initial Complaints (that still exist):
- The ring claims to have up to 14 days of battery life. Day 1 I took it out of the box, charged it to 100% and it was telling me there will be 12 days of battery life. Later, I saw online that if you turn off the vibration settings then it will go up to 14 days. I did that but to no avail. 12 days is still great however my ring has never made it past a week. I've been having to charge it every Wednesday since getting this thing. Someone mentioned I might have a faulty ring and to reach out to customer service so I have done this and am waiting for a response.
- I don't believe it measures stress accurately at all. It tells me I am calm when I am very obviously stressed. I do not mean mentally stressed but sitting there physically fine. I get panick attacks, which are a physical experience and it will tell me I am calm but then randomly tell me I am tense when I actually am calm.
Also, am starting to think maybe I have no idea how to read this app info? Lol. It doesn't seem user friendly at all. I THOUGHT I was understanding everything but now seem to believe that I am not. How did you guys get around this?
I purchased my Gen3 to hopefully replace my Apple Watch. After living with it for 90 days, I can say I’m sorry I pulled the trigger. BIg waste of $
I get multiple false readings of sleep when I’m actually awake, sitting g at my desk. And when I compared readings when I’m actually sleeping, the Gen3 with the AW it’s not even close.
Step counts are way off.
Only positive is the battery.
At this point I don’t even think I could sell this hung of hardware.
Save your money. Cheaper to buy a $40 Chinese dupe on Amazon, better results.
You are not eligible for care+ if you bought from Amazon or any other stores besides their official website!!! There is zero flexibility for customers who use alternative financial options- like myself… I used an old Amazon gift card to pay.
I reached out for clarification and they said because I made the purchase already I was ineligible. Doesn’t make sense because anyone would have had to purchase the ring beforehand to be able to get that activation code?? Contradictory imo.
Hi guys so I got a ringconnair 2 and for some reason it charges so fast (5 mins full charge) but also drains fast (30mins-1hr). Has anyone else experienced this? What to do?? Appreciate advice and tips!!
Hi! I was wondering if anyone here has mastocytosis or MCAS and uses the RingConn Gen 3 (or any version of the RingConn). I’d really love to hear your experience — especially whether the tracking helped you notice patterns, flares, or anything useful for managing symptoms.
Did it make a difference for you, or was it just “nice to have”? I’m trying to figure out if it’s actually helpful for our kind of condition.
Thanks 😊
My kid lost my gen 2 air, I didn’t even have it for 24 hrs. I’m so annoyed. He slipped it off while I was sleeping, I had no idea he woke up at 2 am and way just up playing. I know he didn’t leave the room but it’s almost like it vanished. I’ve looked everywhere and it’s nowhere to be found. The app is no help. Has anyone lost a ring and gotten it replaced through warranty?
Before I contact support - wondering if there's anything I can do to fix this or is it at the end of its battery life?
Gen 2, I've had a little over a year. In the last week or so, when I charge it, it charges for a few minutes and then it's at 100%. See screenshots - it was at 30%, said 63 minutes at 8:48. In 5 minutes I get a notification it's at 100% at 8:52. It's been off the charger, and it's now showing 82%, at 9:22, the % continues to drops quickly. Of course there is no way was fully charged.
Is there anything I can do or should I contact support. I do have Care+ until July 2027, but I was hoping to be able hold out replacing until closer to then.
Hi all,
I’m considering getting the ringconn gen 2 or gen2 air, and a main factor to consider is the color of the ring.
I’m one of those people that hates mixing jewelry colors and I wear exclusively yellow gold. I have heard the “Dune gold” (gen 2 air) is more of a brown color, and have also heard that the rose gold is actually more gold-looking than the royal gold (gen 2).
Has anyone gotten a gold color that they feel is similar enough to yellow gold?
TIA!
I have continuous migraines so my baseline is relatively high. This morning I woke up with a monster migraine with all the worst symptoms. When I opened the app it notified me that it had started headache tracking because of my metrics. Has this happened for anybody else?
Now we just need to get them to figure out better background syncing because I had to open the app to get it to load.
