I was just checking my phone to see if a customer had responded to the email from today, which our lawyer drafted for me, hoping to avoid a lawsuit. When I clicked on the sent email, the forward I wrote to our C.E.O. about my take on the situation was in there.

I thought somehow I had sent the customer that very very internal conversation. But of course, I had not, because I am not a dumb dumb.

I had went to their last email from the week prior and responded directly to that.

Why designers would think that smashing all existing branches of an email thread into one email conversation is a good idea, I will never know. Forwards exist because you do not want to email that topic to the group that topic came from. SO WHY WOULD YOU EVER PUT THOSE CONVERSATIONS IN THE SAME SPOT AGAIN?????

I straight up thought I would have to walk into the office tomorrow to face the music and most likely get fired.

Unforgivable.
