Was waiting at a notoriously slow restaurant for an order and sent the customer a message letting them know to expect this one to take a while. He immediately started getting grouchy about the wait (understandable) but asked me why I was "standing still".

I let him know I was still waiting at the restaurant, but apparently the location updated or something and placed me stopped at a few streets away. I sent a picture of the inside of the restaurant just to reassure him and he sent a message like, "Are you telling my DOORDASH is lying orrrrrr??"

Like bro. I'm starting to feel like we're in a toxic relationship here. Its 2am and youre hungry, I get it but I am where I say I am. Chill out please. 😂😂😂

I can see where idea of sending the customer location updates comes from a place of reassurance but if anything I just waste time explaining what I'm doing (I have an order to deliver to someone else//traffic//train) instead of focusing on my work because god forbid I ignore a message when I'm trying to drive.
