Advice for getting through material faster (FAR)

I started prep a week ago and i feel like im spending too much time in each module. Im using the generic becker study plan and it says i’ll still be learning a module 7 days before my planned exam date, that just doesn’t seem like enough time to go over everything cumulatively right?

Im really getting into the nitty gritty of the recorded lectures, notes on every slide, and by the time i get to MCQ’s its been a while of and im kinda wiped.

Does anyone have advice on how to make the process easier? Should i skim through lectures with minimal notes and use MCQ’s to fill gaps in understanding?

I feel like im understanding a lot of the detailed content in each module, just for it to never appear in a practice MCQ or TBS, it feels defeating.

Applying for CPA exam (PA) question

I currently have 135 credits from undergrad and i will be completing the last 15 via community college this summer so i wont have 150 until August.

However I want to start studying for the CPA this summer. When I go to the NASBA website to do my eligibility application, it says I am eligible to sit for the examination (120 credits from accredited university) but I am not eligible for licensure because I don’t have 150.

The problem is the website says “All education must be met at the time of application. All educational transcripts and/or foreign evaluations are to be submitted prior to the submission of the first-time application to CPA Examination Services”

So am I meant to apply in August once I have 150 and THEN start sitting for exams? Or can I submit 2 applications, 1 for sitting the exam so i can get my NTS, and another in August when I get remaining credits?

I am very confused I thought I could take the exam’s post-grad and earn credit for them, and then get the license once I earned 150 credits later on.

FAR first or REG before OBBA update?

Starting my CPA journey post grad now, and everyone suggests FAR first, however it’s the least fresh in my mind and would require the most studying.

I’ve also taken back to back tax courses to end college so the REG material is the most fresh. Would it make sense to try and get REG out of the way first in a little under 7 weeks before the OBBA rules are added July 1’st, or should I really take my time with FAR with the risk of having REG take longer since the material would be less fresh to me?
