Possibly a dumb question but i have friends that are willing to oblige me for a medieval 2 hotseat. None have played medieval 2, some have played other total war games, some really like medieval history.

My question is, would SSHIP be too much for a new player? Im sure at a glance yes, but i wonder because if they are not used to the flow of vanilla total war maybe SSHIP could maybe be less jarring as it is to med2 veterans. Sure it is harder but maybe the immersion would be appreciated. Sorry if this is a ridiculous question. Otherwise we could play knights of honor 2 or crusader kings 3 but I'd love to try some kind of med2 first.
