Hello community. Following several highly concerning posts regarding the use of AI in fanfiction, I have decided to compile a CSS tool to use in AO3 to detect simple copy-paste artefacts from AI generators. This combines several notes from several people who have attempted to flesh out AI detection methods, including a recently popular Claude detector skin.

Please note that this will not catch all AI. This will only catch AI that has been pasted directly from the AI interface, and even then, not all commercial AI leave traces.

With that in mind, please use this tool responsibly. This tool is meant to be for personal use only. It is not meant to put users on blast. It is meant for those of us who wish to avoid consuming as much AI content as we possibly can with the limited tools that we have. This is one such limited tool.

I am an author that has been around the SSHG community for some time and it breaks my heart to see it so proliferated with AI. I hope to one day see it eradicated, though I know this is wishful thinking.
