I put a point into having Belial ambush you in infernal hordes. Both times he dropped nothing.

I searched around and found a few reddit posts from seasons past saying that if you don't open the lair boss chest before Belial appears, he doesn't drop loot.

The problem is that the IH chests don't appear until after the Belial encounter. I made sure to check when I got him a second time.

I'm supposed to follow the circle on the ground, right? ummmm...
