Designing & Printing Covers for Comic Binds | Swamp Thing Re-Bind Part 3

Let's see if this one is less controversial than my last post lol How I make covers. The same principles apply to dust jackets, though I don't show specifically how I format those here. If you want a separate video specifically on dust jackets, lemme know.

Leveling Comic Page Edges

If you are interested in binding comics but are unsure how to make your edges smooth enough to recreate a mass produced graphic novel feel, I made a video showing how to do it. Hope you find it useful!

Anybody know about this box set?

Found this set of Signet paperbacks of 2001, The Lost Worlds of 2001, and The Making of Kubrick's 2001. Was still plastic wrapped when I got it for $20. All books in excellent condition. Does anyone know when this set would have been released? I can't find any info about it online.

I've been binding comics for a couple years now and always thought I would have to keep the edges janky since trimming them with a blade was too difficult. Then I got myself an orbital sander and my game has changed! You can see in the final image I was able to cleanly level all around the edges of the comics to create a seamless text block that feels mass-produced.

Cover and spine designs printed at Fedex on 80 lb stock.
