Why did Etsy place a buyers help request into spam?
I sold 2 set of earrings on Wednesday. There seemed like there was a confusion in the drop down menu chosen by buyer ( chose 2 qty earrings but instead of picking earrings in second drop down picked 24 inches ). I messaged the buyer asking if buyer wanted the 2qty earrings and not earring necklace set. Buyer never responded. I waited until Friday afternoon and mailed the 2qty earrings. This morning I look at my phone and have 2 separate messages one as a help request another saying buyer asked to cancel the order and if I shipped buyer will refuse package. I responded that I’ve never seen any messages from buyer and that buyer can refuse package and I will refund once I recieve package. The thing is I’ve never recieved those messages but looking at the time stamps it does show he messaged me I believe Thursday or Friday. Yesterday I was doing a customer order so I was messaging a different buyer back and forth all day so would definitely seen the messages from this buyer. I do recall seeing a number 2 by the spam and regret not checking it as today there’s no messages in spam so Etsy must’ve moved those from spam to my regular folder. My question is why were 2 separate messages placed in my spam folder after a buyer already paid and also why was a help request placed in spam ? Also wanted to add that buyer never responded to my message that I initially sent about the discrepancy.
