Buyer says item not received

I just made my second sale through Etsy for an item over $250. I purchased the shipping label and insurance through Etsy and paid for signs required as requested by the customer. USPS delivered the item and the signature listed on the usps site is of the buyers initials. Buyer says he never received item. What are my next steps?

Is opening a clipart shop on Etsy worth it in 2026?

I am a corporate girl working a 9-5 job and I'm thinking about opening a clipart shop on etsy as a side hustle. Since I have limited time, I don't plan on doing any marketing and would mainly rely on etsy search traffic.

For those who already selling clipart, is it still worth getting into or is the market too saturated?

I'd love to hear your honest experiences and whether you'd recommend it to a beginner?

Is starting an Etsy business actually worth it in 2026? Or is it a dead end? (Real talk from anyone who has tried it)

My friend has a 3D printing shop on Etsy and makes lots of money. But I think he is hiding a secret from me.

I saw him talking to big internet friends to help sell his toys. I think he pays them to get buyers, and Etsy's search doesn't help him at all.

It makes me feel sad and stuck. I want to make my own shop but I don't want to waste my time if it's too hard now.

Do you think Etsy is still good for new people, or do we have to pay extra money just to get one sale?

Tell me what you think! If you don't have any idea about it please pass this to those who know it.

Does shipping a sticker internationally really require a customs form?? how can I do this easier..

I send them in a letter for 70 cents ish here in the US, but I had to cancel a order to somewhere in the Netherlands because the post office said I had to pay 28 dollar customs fee and fill out a form.... how is this possible when I have seen others ship international free shipping on 4$ items.

I would love some advice on how I can actually ship things internationally or if there are just certain areas I cannot ship to and is it possible to disable just those areas??

banned customer using other people's addresses to order

A couple years ago, I had a customer who ordered some sweatshirts and wanted a refund because she didn't like the fabric and claimed there was a print issue. I tried to work with her, but she was uncooperative and sending scammer red flags. She immediately opened a case when enough time had passed to do so (the only case I've had after thousands of sales) and then left an awful and dishonest 1 star review despite me refunding her.

Last week, she came back and ordered 3 more of the same sweatshirt. Of course I canceled the order. She then messaged me asking why I canceled it, acknowledging the "issue" with her last order but promising she wouldn't open a case this time.

And before I had a chance to reply (and less than an hour after she had sent that message) I received an email from Etsy encouraging me to contact this customer about her order, because she had the audacity to reach out to Etsy support about it.

So I told her she was banned from my shop (but professionally). She refused to accept that and started arguing with me and being manipulative but I just ignored her and sent to spam.

Today, 5 days after her canceled order, I got another order for 3 of the same sweatshirt from a guest account with a different name and address than the customer I banned. Same quantity, same size, 2/3 colors the same, and the customization is the same (it has an optional customization and most people do customize it; the banned customer requested no customization and so did the guest). In other words, the order is identical except for one being a different color.

This sweatshirt isn't a big seller for me especially in the warm months. I normally sell it once or twice every 2-3 months. So I'm convinced this is the same customer using a guest account and a friend's address/fake name.

What would you do in this situation? I could cancel the new order, but this customer clearly is entitled and has an issue being told no. I 100% expect her to continue placing new orders using other people's addresses/accounts. And who knows what kind of retaliation if I keep canceling. On the other hand I'm also now convinced I was right about her being a scammer, because why would you order more of a sweatshirt that you hated unless there was no real problem with them and you just wanted them for free.

I know a guest account can't leave bad reviews or open a case but she could connect it to an account to do so, and if that happens I don't know if I'll be able to convince Etsy support that this is the same person as the banned customer and a scammer. Has anyone dealt with a customer like this before?

How are we supposed to ship to Canada if the cheapest option is $18?

standard international is the cheapest. I sell hairbows and thinking about branching out to canada and the cheapest option is standad international. I send these in bubble mailes too so I didn't think it'd cost that much. Is this my only option or am i missing something?

Bed Party search popped my product at the top 🥳

Does it mean anything? I posted this product on Sunday night. I know it is kind of late for Bed Party season but I got the idea on Saturday night and made the product and posted on Sunday night. Now, it is the top search result for bed party keyword.

Question on bubble mailers

I sell paper ephemera packs usually in hard 5×7 mailers with non machine sorted stamps. I physically buy the stamps from the post office.

But some of my sales for multiple products plump the mailers past the quarter inch maximum, so I'm thinking about using roughly the same size bubble mailers since I read they can be up to .75 inches thick.

My packages then are about 2-2.5 ounces.

My question is really how do I mail this through Etsy? What is this considered?

Is there an option to keep it cheap like an oversized letter? Thank you for the help.. I'm new!

Heads Up POD Sellers -- Amazon Shipping NOT RECOGNIZED by Etsy

If you are a POD Etsy seller and your fulfillment partner (for instance Printful) has recently switched to using Amazon Logistics for delivery, as of right now you're f'ed with Etsy. Etsy DOES NOT recognize Amazon Logistics's tracking numbers. Check your orders. In particular, any orders that you had to mark shipped yourself by manually entering the tracking will be marked as "NO TRACKING."

I have tried asking about this because it's looking like I will suddenly lose my Star Seller badge over this issue even though everything was in fact shipped on time with tracking.

The tracking numbers that were uploaded directly from the printer to Etsy seem to be mostly okay, but anything that I had to cut and paste myself due to custom/ special orders has been marked as lacking tracking.

Shop Critique

I am a new seller on Etsy, I have been selling for about three weeks. I sell plants, and things seem to be going well. I have 15 sales, 4 5-star reviews and have gotten nothing but good feedback from customers so far. That said, I know there is a lot of room for improvement. A couple questions I have are:

  1. What areas do I need to work on first to make my shop seem more professional?

  2. What areas do you think I could improve in to increase sales and conversion?

The inspiration from this shop is that it grew kinda organically out of my love of plants, which is sort of a hobby/obsession. My nursery is my happy place and where I find peace. But it started getting out of hand and I was always getting new plants so I figured I needed to sell some to make room for the new ones and it's grown from there. They say if you get a job doing what you love you'll never work a day in your life!

My research before opening my shop was just being a buyer on Etsy for a long time prior, and I think I learned a lot about what a customer is looking for in products and customer service. I strive to provide the service I would want as a buyer.

Thanks in advance for taking the time and I look forward to your feedback!

Please tell me if I'm right

I just received an email at my business email address. It states, "Hello, I noticed your listing for (gives the title of an item I listed today). Is it still valid and what is the quality?"

This strikes me as off for several reasons- "valid" seems a strange way to describe a listing, the quality of the item is apparent from the description and many pictures- but mostly because this did not come through Etsy messages. I don't even know how someone could find my business email through what is posted on Etsy.

Am I right to question this contact? Do I need to do/change anything to secure my shop account?

Sighs…. You’re in California, you are going to get taxed with Etsy.

I am lost for words on how to respond to this…

Refund Request by Customer - Order was delivered May 2nd and asked to return on May 16th.

I sell handmade earrings and the customer reached out seeing if she could return them. I have an exchange only policy within 7 days of delivery. Order was delivered May 2nd and asked to return on May 16th.

She’s now opened a case with Etsy saying the quality of the earrings wasn’t what she expected. She says she understands my exchange only policy and wouldn’t have asked to return if quality was an issue. Now she’s opened a case with Etsy - this is my first case so not sure what to do since it’s not only against my policy but asked for return after 3 weeks of delivery??? LOL🥲

How do I handle this? My only option on the help request says “Review & refund”

Orders being refunded as not eligible for Etsy’s Purchase Protection program

In the last month, Etsy has been refunding orders marked as delivered out of my shop funds saying they are not eligible for Etsy’s Purchase Protection program.

  • The orders were shipped on time
  • Orders were given to the post office next day (after label purchase)
  • The orders had tracking
  • Tracking updated and showed as delivered
  • Buyer opens case saying they didn't get it
  • Etsy refunds out of my account rather than covering it under buyer protection (as they did previously)

The latest order refund happened today:

  • Purchased Apr 30, 2026
  • Label purchased Apr 30, 2026
  • SHIPPED Apr 30, 2026
  • Tracking shows it hit a processing facility May 8, 2026
  • Delivered May 15, 2026
  • Buyer opened a case May 20, 2026
  • Case closed and refunded on May 20, 2026
  • Got email it didn't qualify for Etsy’s Purchase Protection program

What am I missing here?

Edit - Some additional info for this specific order is:

  • Estimated Delivery date was May 16, 2026 - so I didn't fall outside of that.
  • My shop is in good standing and hasn't violated any policies
  • I replied to the buyer’s "Help with Order message" the same day.
  • Shop policies are filled out
  • I shipped within the stated processing times and they are stated/listed on teh product
  • It was shipped to the address provided on Etsy
  • I use Etsy Payments
  • I have an accurate “ships from” location + provided tracking

Edit because my reply to OnngoGablogian is being hidden for some reason when I view on my alt:

>Why do you have so many customers opening cases in the first place?

The cases are all for non delivered items that were marked as delivered when shipped - which has nothing to do with me? USPS has been horrible for the last 3 months.

I know we tend to blame sellers in this sub, but good lord. This doesn't help with my question at all. It is completely unrelated to my query at all and tries to refocus blame to me - I don't appreciate that at all.

Not sure how to handle this situation I'm currently in

So I don't get very many orders in, which is totally fine honestly, especially since I recently had my first baby.

Here's my problem though, and I would like some advice on what you would do. During the last few months of my pregnancy, I had an order come in for a couple of items I make by hand, and they take some time to complete. I finished one, but before I could get started on the second, I went into labor and gave birth. I had messaged the buyer before this, asking for clarification on a customization request, and never got a response.

Now it's been over a year, and with all of the new baby stuff and other life stuff, I COMPLETELY FORGOT to finish the order. Everything is literally still there, waiting for it to be completed, but the thing is, I NEVER got a response from the buyer. They never asked wth is taking so long, nor a response to my original question. The only reason I remembered is I went to the seller app to get my sharable link for a friend, and there in the order tab it sits.

Triple digit days since I was supposed to send out the order.

What do I do?? I could try completing the order, but it will still take more time especially with a tiny one crawling around. I thought about sending out the order with some cash included as a refund, or I could just cancel it completely and refund them that way.

Unfortunately my ADHD brain is trying to get stuck and I don't know which step would be best. So I guess I'm asking, what would you do/what would you want someone you're buying from to do? I honestly think they completely forgot about this order at this point, or they are the most patient human beings on the planet! (Or maybe they're aliens who don't understand Earth time....?)

Anyways, some advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

How do people come up a new listing everyday?

I started an Etsy shop, for 3d printing (all things I sell are designed by me and I hardly use AI for my photos (one ai image on one of my listings but that's all) ) but the process takes a long time to 3d model, prototype, etc, so I was wondering on what you guys do to get listings out so fast?

Niche too saturated?

I'm wondering what y'all thoughts are on niche/product saturation. Is there such a thing like oversaturated product/niche or nothing I should worry about?

Item weight missing

Hello, i am a new seller but need help. As I try to save and publish a listing, it says that there is missing weight. Yet I have checked the whole page and all options over and over again and there is no box where I can add weight of the product into. Also, whenever I click on the "item weight" it should redirect me to the option, but it does nothing.

Help would be REALLY appreciated.

thank you!

How do you handle someone stealing your designs?

It’s a daily occurrence that I notice someone has stolen a design that I created and are selling it as their own. (I do not sell digital products). Etsy is of no help, and messaging the sellers is getting old when they always give attitude
