Interesting case: SSI lost my DAC appeal paperwork 2 years ago.

I Must note I'm already on SSI(Supplemental)

So, I applied for DAC in 2023 and was declined obviously. I was expecting a first round decline, as I'm an adult(Mid 40's) who was diagnosed with Autism and ADHD late in life, but have never functionally been able to work. My dad died in 2023 and so I applied. I have still legible ACTUAL paperwork from the school when I got put into special education for dyspraxia, which I was diagnosed with. Kaiser, who was my pediatric care group as a child, of course no longer has records from this period of time due to how long ago it was.

I filed my appeal within the 60 days in 2024, and even have the appeal writeout I made still with the date of when I printed it out(also the day I mailed it out).

I Eventually got called by SSI with them for a Redetermination on my DAC, which made it sound like they were going over my appeal . They wanted me to bring in my birth certificate. I also brought in the paperwork, which is very delicate, and asked them to copy those as well, but they refused, saying all they wanted was my Birth certificate. I eventually recieved a second decline at the end of 2024, and was told that it was a "Final"

Fast forward to late april; the very end of last month 2026, I recieved another message about my DAC claim stating that they had JUST recieved my appeal and wanted a LOT of information... basically all the same that I sent in 2024, and an explanation why I waited until 2026 to send something. I didn't know what to take of this last one and thought it may be a scam or something, so even though I took it seriously, I kind of lost track of it in the middle of ADHD and PTSD(April/early may is a really bad month for me). I also must mention that I got this mail OVER 15 days after the date listed on the paperwork, so didn't know if I could even send anything in or not.

I recieved a letter just today that was obviously a form letter, but makes it seem like they're saying I'm NOT disabled at all, which is weird, and that the original determination remains in effect.

So... Could I get some insight into what's going on here? Why did my paperwork go missing? Why did they ignore all my signature dates and jump to me filing it two years late, instead of within (though near) the 60 day window instead? Why didn't the workers in the past that I talk to mention if it was for my appeal they were looking into it or for another reason?

Honestly, I'm extremely confused as to what to do next. And yes, I have been trying to call my local office but they keep routing me to other offices instead... when calling my local office's number. This is exacerbated with my current diagnoses, which include PTSD, Agoraphobia, and Panic disorder which limits the amount of time I can actually do this stuff without having a panic attack.
