No terceiro jogo empatamos com a equipa sul-americana do grupo, tendo diso claramente inferiores (na altura Brasil, agora Colômbia).

Passamos em segundo do grupo com 5 pontos em ambas as ocasiões.

Fomos eliminados pela Espanha por 1-0 nos oitavos de final em ambos os casos.

A única grande diferença foi a vitória frente a Croácia, pelo facto de este Mundial ter uma eliminatória extra.
