I have spoken to various people, from work colleagues to the general public to say I have a small following of under 4k subscribers. I get the "wow that's cool, what do you do?". Then I say it's asmr and they're like "what on earth is that?". Then you explain, some people say "nice I'll have to watch it" and some even ask for my channel name. I think it's nice when that happens. I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar experience?

In the past month, I've lost about 250 subscribers, not gradually as well, there were two main spikes of losses, around 100 at a time. Googling it gave me multiple possible reasons, such as youtube getting rid of bot accounts (I paid for subscribers in the past so that would make sense as I've never 100% trusted paid for subscribers) and inactive accounts being taken down. I just wondered if any other creators have experienced this before?
