I have been offering free / donation based classes as a new yoga teacher trying to gain experience. It has mostly been word of mouth and while everyone is excited and encouraging, I have gotten a lot of last minute cancellations (day of or a few hours before). I am wondering if anyone has an RSVP method for classes that are not paid for up front. Maybe a group chat or Facebook group? I am thinking of asking people to confirm the night before. By the time I have prepped the sequence, done the playlist, etc it’s a waste of time if no one shows. Of course all practice is good practice but trying to tighten things up a bit.

Wondering if anyone uses Airbnb experiences for small group classes? I live in a ski town with lots of tourists. My family once did a yoga class on vacation from an Airbnb experience or similar. It’s great for active vacationers, bachelorette parties, etc. As the instructor I would come to their rental homes. Does anyone have experience offering these types of classes and if so what advice do you have?

I am a 25F and suddenly everyone in my life is getting engaged and planning their weddings. I moved out of state so expect lots of travel and expenses in the next few years. I am wondering how people financially prepared for this season of life, what they said no to, etc. Is there any advice you wish you had gotten or things you’d done differently? I make a decent salary for my age but I still can’t afford bachelorettes, weddings, travel, dresses and gifts without a lot of budgeting and attention. I also want to be able to have discretionary money to spend on myself too! Any advice appreciated.
