Epson ET-2865 Setup keeps failing
Been at it for hours now and despite all my research, I can't figure out what's wrong. Now I'm here.
I followed the instruction of going to epson.sn, entering the model number (though it does force me to use the 2860 version) and downloading the file. Everything works for a bit while setting it up. Accepting the license, unchecking the data collection boxes and confirming I filled the tanks with ink. I move on to the "setup" step, it says printer and scanner drivers are being installed and I get to select the printer which I've already connected to my network. I click continue and it now starts a process of downloading EpsonNet Setup and then Epson Print, then saying "setup ongoing", and then i recieve an error message message named "Installation Failed" and the details in the report saying: "Some of the for the setup necessary files are not installed. Execute the setup from the software disc again" (translated from German, so it's probably not exactly what it says in English). Those are pic 1 & 2.
Obviously, I uninstalled and redid the whole process multiple times throughout the night and I get the same result every time. I also used my laptop (am visiting my mum's to do the setup for her on her PC) to see if it is a printer problem or device problem, and with mine it worked without any issues. But idk what could be missing to keep me from finishing the setup. Weirdly enough, I can still print with my mum's PC despite not being able to finish the setup, but scanning doesn't work :/ . I put a 3rd pic that shows what Epson stuff I've installed in case that's relevant.
I'm at my witt's end. Idk what the problem here is / what's missing and why. Pls help (\T^T)\
