Is French important outside Ontario and Quebec?
I know that in Eastern Canada, especially Ontario and Quebec, there’s often an expectation to know at least some French (like B1 level or higher). But how necessary is French in western provinces where it seems much less spoken, like Manitoba, Saskatchewan, or Alberta?
Is English usually enough there for work, immigration, and daily life, or is French still important? Correct me if I’m wrong.
EDIT: I meant to say, that in WESTERN Canada (Ontario/Quebec) this is kind of expected, and forgot to add that i would be moving to Alberta (Lethbridge) myself soon, and thus why i am making this post, thank you!
