Help me with choosing a new daily!
Hello all! Sad to say that my current daily was just in an accident and was totaled by my insurance. It's absolutely disappointing because I owned it since new and was planning on keeping it as long as I could. So now I'm in the market for a new daily driver. Below are some of the things I'm looking for in a car and hoping you all could help me in finding something.
- Great gas mileage (my commute is 2 hours/100 miles a day)
- Automatic (I can drive a manual, but my wife will also use this vehicle and she doesn't know how)
- Fairly new and reliable (I don't want an older vehicle that will need constant work done to it, I have plenty of other vehicles that fill that void 😂. Just want something that's good to go with just maintenance)
- I also don't want a brand new vehicle (My commute is mostly on a state highway that goes through fields and woods early in the morning, so I occasionally hit a critter on the way to work. And I hated putting my once new car through that)
- Decent aftermarket mod support (I like to make my vehicles my own)
- Maybe something with a little pep to it as well.
Just as a frame of reference, my old daily was a 2018 Honda Civic hatchback. I loved that thing and it checked all the boxes above (except for being new). I may look for another 10th gen Civic, but wouldn't mind trying something different.
