Does anyone own one of these from a ruralish area? Falcon wing doors attention?

My wife is concerned about the attention the falcon wing doors would bring. We live in a rural area, as far as I know there isn't another model x in the area. How did the attention (if any) affect people here?

HV battery failure isn't actually common is it?

I was looking at buying an older 2018 mx 100d with 85k miles on ot (I know I know the tech isn't on par with new ones, I honestly dgaf about self driving or the horizontal screen). I am in market for a new used vehicle, I don't ever want an ice vehicle again, I get free L2 charging at work, and I need a 3rd row. I live in the rust belt and desperately want aluminum panels so they don't rot out in 5 years. That leaves an older model x. I have always been a fan of Teslas, I love how they look, and no I am not willing to drop an extra 20k to get a Raven updated model. I have been wrenching on vehicles for 15 years, and am an industrial electrician by trade. I don't think there is that much I can't fix on one of these, and I'm 95% sure I could repair a hv battery, but I obviously don't really want to.

I was looking at a thread from 5 months ago where someone was asking about buying a used mx, and there was a pretty appalling amount of people who said their HV batteries failed under warranty. I read that 1-2% of them fail, I would never get the idea from that thread. Is it really more common than that?
