Clinic didn’t use ICSI with Zymot despite agreed plan

Hello,

Just wanted some advice from anyone who has been through something similar.

We’ve just found out that the clinic didn’t do ICSI with Zymot, even though that was our agreed plan because of my husband’s very high sperm DNA fragmentation.

We even spoke to the embryologist on the day, and he confirmed they were still going ahead with it, despite my husband’s semen analysis that day being good enough that they technically didn’t have to.

We’re also doing PGT-A testing because of previous losses, so we’re now really worried about what impact this could have on embryo quality and how many embryos we may end up with over the next few days.

We feel quite angry and annoyed about the mixup, wherever it happened. We’ve spent over £20k with this clinic already, and it just doesn’t feel good enough if the agreed treatment plan wasn’t followed…

What would you do in this situation? Should we be worried about this affecting the cycle, and how would you approach the clinic about it? I’m worried they’ll just fob us off.

Thank you. We’re in the UK
