Hit 40 lbs down, & 6” off my waist

F50 SW301.8 CW261.6 GW170 72” tall

Hey everyone! I weighed in down 40.2lbs this morning so I decided to do a waist measurement as well-down an inch to 42” from 48” at start.
I have a goal to hit 259.9 by June 1st, hoping I can pull it off, & seems like I will.
While shaving my legs the other day I noticed my quadricep defined under my skin, which was very exciting for me!
Another small thing I noticed while getting out of the shower- I always flip my head upside down to wrap it in a towel, & I felt very secure in my core muscles supporting that bend, a testament to the daily core work I have been doing.
I have increased my “fast long hilly walks” to 3 miles, & taken the pace down under 16 minutes. I have also noticed my heart rate sitting around 100 on flat straights, so I have incorporated 60 second jogs during those periods to keep my heart rate from settling too much. I am thinking that 45 minutes of daily zone 2 needs to be the goal now, instead of just “walking”. I still don’t want to run- I am too heavy to protect my joints.
Still only doing 1 day of high intensity cardio & I can definitely tell the difference in hunger afterwards.
VO2 max has increased to 28.
I have decided that I prefer the Garmin dashboard better than Apple, & once I hit 240 I’m going to buy a new watch. 250 is 75-90 days away. Maybe less. Yay!!

Overwhelmed

50f SW 301.8 CW 263.2 GW 170 72”
Hey all. Really just kind of dumping emotions anonymously this morning so I don’t overwhelm my friend group or make anyone feel bad who isn’t having weight loss success.
Today I am 81 days into my “metabolic reset/weight loss journey”
I have lost 38.6 lbs, my a1c went from 5.4 to 5.1, fasting glucose went from 102 to 85.
In 5.3 lbs I will drop from class ii obesity into class i.
My goal is to hit 259.9 by June 1st
Then hit 249.9 by July 1st
I think I’m going to hit my June goal. I honestly can’t believe it. I am going to a funeral today, & struggling to find something that fits well- every thing is too big or too small. I tried on a pair of size 14 Ann Taylor trousers & they zipped, buttoned & hooked. They’re a smidge too tight, & I’m not going to wear them yet, but my God, I can’t believe i got them on & they aren’t awful- just a little too snug.
I can wear my xl blouses.
I’m just so shocked that i have changed shape this quickly.
I decided on a dress i wore at my graduation 2 years & 40 lbs ago. The boobs look like partially deflated balloons (it has an empire waist) but I can’t find anything that doesn’t look like a tent or too tight.

This morning I weighed in 35 lbs down. I believe I am at 69 days into my “metabolic reset”
My waist has gone from 48” to 42.5”
I added in weightlifting 3x week, one high intensity cardio & 2 mid level cardio days (hilly fast walking)
I am getting 10k steps/day & I do a 10 minute core stabilizing routine daily (10 minutes).
Yesterday my Apple Watch clocked me at “above average” VO2 max. My glucose (I wear a CGM) is sitting in the low 90s during the day & dips down into the 70s at night.
Sleep quality is high, I feel fantastic. Super excited for upcoming milestones like leaving level ii obesity at 258 lbs, & getting to a healthy height/waist ratio.

I am having a second round of bloodwork done on May 21, & I am really looking forward to seeing my fasting insulin, & my inflammation markers- I am hoping for big improvement.
Yay! Just so hyped & absolutely speechless that this has been such a “glide” to better health, & the massive change in my mood, my lower back pain has 99% gone away, I have so much more energy, it’s so great! I am very excited & although I am sometimes hungry I have been able to look at my macros to see which lever I need to pull to feel more satiety.
Currently eating around 1500 day, 40ish fiber, 150-200 protein, 20 net carbs & 50-70 fat 👏
