I’ve recently been made redundant from my job. Luckily I have some savings and severance package, but want to invest my savings in monthly paying investments. I am based in Canada.

I already have some dividends monthly paying stocks & etfs like, JEPQ, HDIF, O and some quarterly paying, SCHD.

I have done some research, which is suggesting balancing between cash/high interest savings, bonds, dividend paying etfs and a small portion to covered call etf.

Wondering if anyone is in my position and what you are investing in and how you have funds allocated. I’ve got some ideas from my research, but want to do my diligence and hear from people who have done this.
