I bought a used AT-1 and inserted a new battery. However the battery check is inconsistent. It will show full power and the needle will jump to the top of the viewfinder, but then if I try again a minute later it will not. It’ll go back and forth with no consistency. I tried cleaning the battery port and that didn’t seem to change anything. Is there an obvious reason why this could be faulty and if so, is it something I can repair myself?
