How likely is it to spread to other places on your body?

When I had my initial consultation with my doctor, the first question she asked me was whether I’d noticed any spots in my mouth. I know it can also appear on your legs and chest, but how likely is it to spread to other areas, or does it usually stay contained to one area?

Getting it in your mouth sounds like a whole other level of hell. Its not like you can put ointment in your mouth

Cleanliness

Hi guys! I love this group and have been following for a long time.

I don’t live in the States, but I live in a country very familiar with “load-shedding.” I know Americans are concerned about the possibility of a grid failure (as are we), but based on what I’ve lived through for years, I wanted to share something that might be worth thinking about.

When load-shedding was really bad here, we could have power for 4 hours, then no power for 4–6 hours, and this would continue for months and months. Basically, they switch off the power for periods of time to relieve the strain on the grid.

One thing I’ve learned from living through that, although thankfully the situation here has improved, albeit somewhat shakily, is to be proactive in your daily life.

You will never catch me with four days' worth of laundry waiting to be done or a dirty kitchen. As soon as I have enough dishes or clothes to justify a load, I do it. Because I’m going to be very annoyed if the power goes out and I’m suddenly stuck with a mountain of laundry and a dirty kitchen. 😂

Same with charging devices. I’m proactive about making sure phones, power banks, etc. are charged, and I always make sure we have enough ice blocks in the freezer in case we lose power.

Just something to think about.

Side note: Above food and water, please also prioritise a basic medical kit for yourself and your animals, along with some OTC medications.

I had a minor situation today and found myself scrambling, even though I thought I had the basics covered. I’ve now placed an order for things like pain relief, UTI treatments, burn dressings, something for upset stomachs, bandages, products to help stop bleeding, ointments, etc.

We live in strange times. During covid our goverment banned the sale of all cigarettes and alcohol and even restriced what we could buy in a shops. You were only allowed to buy 'essential' items. I can post the list of non-essential items our Gov restriced in the comments if you'd guest like

Plugs

Thought I'd share with you the difference between seeds started in plugs vs random plastic tub. Don't think I'll bother next year, I'll just direct sow

Entertainment

I think one overlooked part of prepping is entertainment. If the internet goes down, a lot of people are gonna realize how dependent we are on our phones. No scrolling, no streaming, no Googling… then what?

Most of us don’t even own DVDs or CDs anymore. Everything’s online now. And honestly, do kids still build puzzles or know how to keep themselves busy without an iPad?

Food and water matter obviously, but boredom and morale are a real thing too. Offline hobbies, games, books, puzzles ..that stuff could end up being way more important than people think.
