Romance novel,mmc was a former pro tennis athlete I guess?was on trial,suspected to have killed his mentor/coach(not sure),said mentor fell off a large building,suspected suicide but mmc was present,so suspected to have pushed him off or sth😐,,mentor was assaulting minors I guess,mmc had heterochromia,was found innocent btw,,broody silent secretive type,super rich,was no longer playing pro at the time the story was set

Don't remember much about fmc,but she supported the mmc and loved him

Was a trilogy if I'm not wrong 😂

I read this around 2022/2023 and I cannot remember the title or author 😭

What I remember:

Romance novel (pretty steamy/contemporary)

MMC was a former famous tennis player, but by the time of the story he was more rich/businessman vibes than active athlete

He had heterochromia (different coloured eyes) — I’m VERY sure about this detail

FMC and MMC meet as strangers and get together pretty quickly

Luxury/rich people setting (suits, penthouses, expensive lifestyle vibes)

I think it was a trilogy or multi-book arc

In later books there’s a HUGE plotline involving the death of his mentor/coach/father-figure

The mentor either jumped or fell from a tall building

MMC was investigated/put on trial/suspected

There were courtroom scenes and media/press scenes in later books

Eventually the MMC is found innocent

I vaguely remember the mentor later being revealed as abusive/corrupt (possibly involving younger athletes/kids?)

I THINK the MMC’s name may have been Xavier but I’m not 100% sure

Cover was more “man in suit” than sports-themed
