Mmmm daddy kink..

I am not into the daddy kinks where he forces her to wear a diaper and/or a pacifier. Personally, not a fan of age-playing. FMC has to be at least 21 and MMC cannot be much older than 44, weird numbers but they feel right. Same numbers for reverse age gaps because I like them a lot and I feel like they’re under appreciated (from what I see).

Usually when I’m reading I want a book with good writing, but a bitch is in heat and she’s willing to accept whatever so throw them her way. I just require it to be dark romance with dub/non, thank youuu.

Please just don’t give me anything by Kate Raven, oh god I know what I just said earlier but her books are horrible.

I read {Kotik by Alina Dobrova}. And I loved it, even though I wish it was longer.

This was set somewhere in the post soviet Russia, and I never read a book that felt like home to me such as this, despite it being a dark romance. I’m eastern european and despite lots of MMCs having russian or slavic background, few people show how things actually work in such places. I think the author being russian really nailed it, from the food, the jobs… it felt like I was reading a snippet of my life lol.

Now about the romance, this is a SLOW BURN. A well written book where it takes a very long time for the characters to be intimate despite them being together for what I would say almost the beginning. The reasons why, will be explained throughout the book.

The darker aspect is the MMC, Vitali, who I would say it’s more lukewarm/grayish dark, rather than pitch black or other sorts.

Overall, chemistry? On point. Writing? On point. Smut well done and not on every page? On point. Keeps you on your toes? Also check. I finished it in two days lol.

What I didn’t like? I feel like author rushed the ending, made the FMC a little bit too accepting towards things you’d initially think she’d take a stand on, and his character was so complex I feel like his background could’ve been more expanded on. But it’s definitely unique in terms of dark romance. I felt a similar vibe reading {Midnight Hunter by Brianna Hale} which I think is the german version of this.

10/10 recommend.

Wow oh wow, I love Lucas the most I think here. and like his story with Yulia.

I’m only on book 2 halfway through but yeah, obsessed and swept away doesn’t even cover it

I discovered this author/series around 4 years and would not have been ready to read this before now.

I have read SO MANY bully romances and none have come close to this one. If anyone here has recommendations for stories that have the same wow-factor PLEASE let me know.

Why I liked it:

- Characterization of each guy in the RH. Killian, Wrath, and Tristian were individually cruel with unique backstories
- Smut was original. Lots of kinky shit that wasn’t just copy paste from other stories. Bonus points for the non/dubcon.
- The bullying was psychological. They did things that actually made me feel sad and scared for her.
- Thriller murder-mystery subplot was engaging
- Character DEVELOPMENT: Killian does unforgivable things fueled by his twisted obsession with her and she actually HATES him for it, and forces him to grow/change his behavior in the series

I’m currently listening to creightons book, God of Pain.

He’s apparently into painful / kinky types of play but in the other books, I distinctly remember remington (?) your lordship being shocked when creigh doesn’t raise his hand during never have I ever and he realizes creigh never received oral sex. He came off as meek to me bc of that, so it’s kinda a 360 to see him so kinky and stuff. Did I miss something?

Hi there, not sure if I've done this correctly as I'm fairly new to Reddit despite apparently creating an account 5 years ago 🤣😂

Anyway, I really love how assertive age gap dynamics and romances are in books and just make me squeee!! Anything Best Friends Dad, Dads Best Friend, Silver Fox, Guardian just makes me not want to put the book down!!!

Can anyone recommend the spiciest age gap romances you've come across? I'm talking human as i love fantasy too but a 500 year age gap when the MMC only looks in his absolute prime doesn't hit quite the same.
