They abrogated Article 370 and sold us dreams of “development ka naya chapter”, massive investments, booming tourism, and jobs for the youth. Photo ops at Vaishno Devi, fancy events, and endless press conferences happened.
What’s the ground reality in 2026?
• J&K’s unemployment rate is still 6.7% nearly double the national average. Lakhs of our educated youth from Jammu University, Cluster University, and other colleges are either registered unemployed or underemployed.
• Many are driving cabs, delivering orders in Jammu city, or migrating out because local opportunities dried up.
• Power cuts and high electricity bills continue to test us during harsh winters.
• Tourism (our biggest backbone) fluctuates wildly one season good, next season anxiety because of fragile stability.
• Small businesses, traders, and the common man are still struggling with the same old issues while dynastic parties rotate power and give the same excuses: “statehood”, “packages”, “normalcy aa rahi hai”.
National Conference, PDP, Congress, BJP-led setups every single one has come with big slogans and left us in the same cycle. Jammu Division has been taken for granted for too long.
We, the cockroaches of Jammu, have survived floods, political turmoil, policy experiments, and endless lectures from comfortable offices. We don’t die easy. We adapt and multiply.
That’s why the Jammu Front of Cockroach Janta Party is now active.
No fake hope. No dynastic nonsense. Just a satirical but serious push for accountability on real issues jobs, transparency, and making the system uncomfortable.
