What if the Israelites were neurodivergent? What if they spent 40 years wandering around in the desert with ADHD, Autism or Aspergers before they found what they were looking for? What if that is the whole point of the story? What if the slavery they were freed from was just them living at home with their parents and not fitting in? Then once they reached adulthood they spent 40 years trying to find their place, their diagnosis, their support system, their home, the love of their life, their so-called Promised Land. What if the story of Moses and the Exodus isn't just something that happened way back in history? What if it applies to modern life? Does anyone out there feel me on this? Is there another neurodivergent soul this speaks to? I am calling out into the wilderness here, for I am alone in this struggle. Who is out there that can answer me?
