Finally beat Doom 1, basically the only 10/10 I’ve ever played.
There’s no flaws imo, only nitpicks.
Like yes maybe I’d prefer some things rearranged. Yes Nightmare is troll-hard. Maybe some tracks could have been this or that, whatever.
That’s a bunch of nerd baby garbage. This game is spotless perfect. I mean like the movement, beautiful, better than many of today’s shooters.
Aiming, great, love the non-vertical aiming actually, wish games still did that.
The save system is truly immaculate.
Level design and secrets are fucking perfect like it’s awesome. Rewards patience, exploration, and knowledge, it’s just all the way there.
Horror and fun abound, comedy all wrapped in one.
Light on story and tutorial styled content and just balls to the wall mayhem.
I have nothing to say but that this is truly one of the best games ever made. It’s up there with the original Super Mario Bros, Ocarina of Time, Resident Evil 1, Mortal Kombat/Street Fighter. This is a pinnacle of gaming.
